Eibach PRO TRUCK Coilover 2.0 Stage 2

Any One Running 285 70 17s on this set up? How do you like it ? Pics ?

 

I will be running that size tires. I'm just waiting for the wheels get in

 

Tomorrow morning going to get the eibach stage 2 coilover lift kit, ECGS bushing, 2" rear blocks, CMC, and MAYBE a viper cut.... Still debating on the viper cut. It's a bit aggressive, but looks cool in my opinion.

Why not do an AAL instead of a hockey puck in the back?

 

Because everyone knows that hockey is a manly sport... Duh

Got the blocks free technically and it's what I have right now... I plan on replacing the full leaf packs later. An AAL still uses Toyotas leafs... And they're not great... I'd rather replace the full packs at once.

This is my 5th Tacoma, I've had others with rear blocks, offroading them and all, with no issues. But it's not a long term thing on this build.

Mine is on the truck. Seems ok but I’m gonna dial it down some more as its still a little high up front and I don't want to deal with the needle bearing atm. It does come with a wrench and a swaybar relocation bracket.

The front is almost 1” higher than the rear so yeah that shit will be dialed down lol

I’m trying to adjust them down and these fuckers are seriously stuck. Anyone have suggestions for thread lube? Try a breaker bar maybe? I was hoping to adjust them w/o jacking it up in the fucking rain.

 

I jack the corner I'm adjusting off the ground & use WD-40 as a thread lube. I also added a small pipe to the end of the adjuster for a little more leverage.

 

Need to get the weight off the corner. You aren't going to be able to adjust pre-load with a heavy truck weighing down the coilover.

 

ok that worked for the passenger side but I had to go almost all the way down only 2-3 threads showing to get it level (no rear lift atm). Drivers side was horrendous needed cheater bar then the wrench broke theres about 3/4” threads still showing. Needs to go down about 1/4-1/2” still.Also the wrench broke near a brake line so I’m worried it might have hut it when the thing snapped off. Have to call eibach for a new wrench.

cannot believe how much load these springs have over stock. Out of the box it was 2” over stock.

 

I installed the Eibach coil-overs & rear shocks on my 2014 a couple days ago. I'm with you as I don't have a rear lift. I just wanted to level the truck with the option of being able to lift it later If I choose to go that route. With the passenger side coil-over all the way down I am level with the rear. I'm still playing with the drivers side to eliminate the "Taco lean". Right now I have about a half an inch of threads showing. When I first went to adjust the coil-overs with the weight off the front end I was surprised how much force it took. I then liberally applied WD-40 to the threads & top/bottom of the adjusting nut. Things went much smoother after that. Do you have the newest spanner wrench they offer?

Also, when adjusting the coil-overs make sure to drive the truck a short distance working the wheel & brakes to get the front end to settle before taking a measurement.

 

Thats the wrench I broke. It is close still about 1/4” too much on drivers side. I may take it back to have the alignment tweaked a bit too once this is finished.

My big takeaway is that if you want to run 33s without spending a lot these certainly have enough lift

I tried adjusting my coils with said wrench before too and I couldn’t get mine to budget at all. Sprayed some lube and used the pipe from another jack to use as leverage. I ended up just giving up. I’m 0.5” lower in the front from my rear, told myself it isn’t THAT much of diff to justify the extra work needed to adjust them at that moment lol

 

Picking up my wheels from @ShowstoppersUSA today too

 

My front right also sounds like shit on big bumps so checking the torque on all of those bolts is my next project.

 

Lift, CMC, ECGS bushing, and alignment completed today. Wheels and tires are next.

Coilovers were raised 5 turns. Will let them settle and adjust again if needed, but with 5 turns up front and a 2" rear block, I'm pretty level I think.
