You guys need to speak to Mods on getting a post possibly pushed to the 2nd post to where all parts and build advice is accumulated and can be edited by someone active on the turbos.

Tube coming off the front of the intake, in between the intake and that solenoid or whatever it is.

When are the new pump controllers shipping to older TT pump controller owners?

So there's a dude in Colorado who installed a procharger on his 3GT, has 33's, and dyno'd 341rwhp/303 torque running 7.5psi. I believe he went with a bit smaller pulley due to elevation.

Also, I told him about how the stock pump struggles with high load demand over a long period of time, just a word of warning for him for if/when he's high up in the rpm band, and he said this:

"So this kit was provided with a JMS fuel booster, wires inline and ups the voltage to like 15-16. Apparently this is done a lot in other application with no troubles at all, and so far stands true"

    @OVTune thoughts?

Is this something that could be worth having for people like myself with the base kit who are running out of fueling on the top end and get those misfires when the stock pump has had enough?

As it stands, it's really hard to recommend this kit without the fuel pump upgrade, because frankly it sucks knowing that above a certain rpm, there's this vague stretch of rpm between there and redline where you can misfire and go into a limp mode. Yes, I understand that the ecu shuts down those cylinders to prevent damage, and all that needs to be done is cycle power and you're g2g again, but knowing that doesn't make it any less of a concern really. And I'm aware that the base turbos have pretty much tapered off before reaching that rpm threshold, so the driver wouldn't have much reason to not have upshifted by then, but still, for peace of mind..... :notsure:

since he is in colorado it's likely a 20% correction factor. Take it to sea level he will probably run out of fuel.

I would not use a fuel pump boost on our pumps. They do not work like normal pumps work. Not only that but upping the voltage the ECU is just going to try to trim the duty on the pump it will be fighting itself. I wouldn't be surprised if the pump burns out.

for trucks in your case where they are getting more than base boost due to mods, I have a method to keep it safe which I'll be putting into your tune. It's the only way, which is cutting down maximum throttle up top. (so that maybe above 5000 rpm when you floor it you only get 50% throttle). You won't get the full horsepower up top, but you'll still get *more than enough* and be within the limits of the fuel system.

Read how our fuel pump works you'll understand voltage boosters aren't really going to help like they would on a standard pump.

Our pumps flow is not controlled by voltage it is controlled by PWM of 3 different voltages

Ive been following the TT and SC threads for awhile but I haven't seen much on the fuel pump controllers you have made, can you give us any details on When/If they'll be available and what the cost is looking like?

quick update. Truck is driving great. After fixing vacuum leaks and second tune file, I'm not throwing any codes. Boost gauge will go in this week to understand exactly what it's doing and I'll flash an additional tune file and log full throttle pulls. it's fun as hell to drive! After all that is dialed, I'll start replacing some of the silicone couplers with hard line.

I know you are building your own fuel pump module but have you looked at the offerings from Torqbyte? We have used/installed a few on higher horsepower VW/Audi's with very good success.

    Update

    Fuel Pump/ controller:
New fuel pump is in our truck, tested. It is working exceptionally well. Our firmware had to be modified quite a bit, and we are wrapping up finishing touches. Which is nice as our truck is back on the road so we can finish any necessary fine tuning tests for a few of you guys.
All of our fuel pump controllers are disassembled, with our new boards installed, nearly ready to be firmware loaded and shipped out.

Tuning: Base tunes right from the start are 90% ready to go. A few back and forth logs will be required. We are still working on adjustments for very cold start/driving. (cold start is a little choppy, as with cold engine driving).

Kits /Shipping: Behind schedule (obviously). This weekend I plan to detail out the changes that we have made, with some pictures (as it is setup on our truck now). I posted here a while back that I was moving my location where I do some of the work, and that has been a contributing factor. I thank you guys for being patient with me. It has definitely been quite a process getting to this point. Expectations right now for resuming of shipping I'm working towards pushing more kits out beginning of April. This is *way* behind our initial release plans, I understand that. If you are unhappy with this, please talk to me, we will get something worked out.
There is also 2 pieces for the intake we decided we would cast. It's not ready yet, though. These pieces fit much better, and are designed from a 3D scan of the engine bay, including a piece that bends to avoid the oil filler neck.
You will still get the original design pieces, so that there aren't further delays. When those cast pieces come, we will send you those to swap it *if you want.*. It also will make it easier to add sections for PCV, oil catch can ports, etc.
