FYI since it's been long awaited by (at least some) MT users, anyone who requested the tune pack for 04C30 should have either received it yesterday or will shortly as Mat catches up with tickets. Both @motomaster132003 and I received ours yesterday. Thanks @OVTune ! :D your hard work and dedication is appreciated!

What is 04C01? I think 04C00 was the Mexican market AT? Is this a TSB update for those?

I made the 1st post edits and WOW. SFOB premium plus 4.88s make this thing feel like a mini race truck. I adjusted the idle maps to 900rpm as recommended, but now my truck idles at 500 to 600rpm. Is this normal? I adjusted the values higher, to 1300 and 1600 rpm, and now truck idles at 600 to 800 rpm. Ideally I'd like a slightly higher idle for winching, which I have to do with some frequency here in the PNW. Am I missing something here?

    Welcome!

I'm glad that you like the edits. But, you do not have to do all of them. Haha! Personal choices and all of that.

With a warmed up engine, my Taco always idled at about 600rpm. The cold start maps are only for the enrichment phase and should not affect idle for the hot motor. It did not affect mine. My main reason to lower the cold start idle was to be able to coast at a slower speed at home and in the work parking lot.

Sorry if it is obvious, but the Stock tune or any of the OV Tunes will have the original values if you ever want to go back. You can open multiple tunes at once or even two vF windows. That helps when I am comparing and editing tunes.

    Hello, Folks.

I added the 04B14 map list for vF Version 1.2.9.9.2 to the 1st Post.

There have been some sneaky map name changes.

I'm eager to get some new throttle controls for sure.

I tried the map I've been working on the last few days, it definitely improved the flat spots but brought in a hair of rev hang vs the previous one.

It's funny because it's barely different.

There is this sweet spot it seems, and only so much that can be controlled with the acceleration maps.

Will be great if we can get to the point where we can control the throttle how we wish and but have to worry about it.

Another thing I've noticed, it rev hangs worse going up hill, almost like the sensors in the truck know you are facing up hill and cause it. Those are the weird hangs that happen at like 3krpms and take forrrrrrrever to come down to 2k

There are, but it would be wild (in my mind) for the ECU to use that data for engine controls. I wouldn't want any attitude situation affecting anything unless I am wheels up, then you can shut off the engine, please.

    You're welcome!

Enjoy the tune. The personalization is just excellent and makes the tune feel just the way that you want.

I'm eager to see new throttle maps too, with accurate axis descriptions and some guidance (flow chart?) as to how said maps interact with others in this hair brained ECM lol. I'm not really into poking around blindly anymore just to see what happens.
