Ryan, in your pics whos Xterra is that?

Is it 4x4? I think Xterras look sick lifted with an off road bumper on the front. I looked into the Xterras but I never sat in one. I have long legs so I dont know how comfortable they are since they have that hump in the floorboard by the gas peddle you know how the carpet goes around the housing for the transmission.

 

Are you interested in trading in or just curious?


I just looked through Ryan's gallery and saw a pic of Nick. Do you have any planned visits to FL Nick?

So he wouldn't even compare me to a tacoma. Only the 4x4 tundra. With a trade in and 2,500 down, ill have a brand new, 2011 4x4 tundra with 7 miles on it for $26,500!! I had the sales manager and everything out trying to get me to buy it.

 

Keep the Taco unless you need a bigger truck. I bet those payments would suck.

 

Ok so i have good news and bad news. The good news is that yes the rear axle just slid to the right alittle bit and i can loosen my ubolts and slide it back. There is about a 1/4 of wiggle room on either side of the bracket. So i am good there. Bad news is that my passanger side coil is starting to sag. I am pretty sure its due to me using my Stock OEM shocks. So i need to change those out asap.

 

passenger side sag? That's weird. Maybe it's just breaking in quicker because that's the one you had to keep compressing and uncompressing? Or maybe there is a slight difference between the location of coil perches on the 5100's and stock shock?

Glad to hear the axle is a simple fix.

Nevermind, I got them confused with the tc's.

 

Everything was the same on the 5100 and the OEM. The perch was the same the length was the same everything. I just think the shock is done and its sagging. I am going to order my OME shocks soon. And yes the rear should be easy. I am going to try and put it on the lift on base for that one though.

 

If the shock was done then it would be bouncy, it doesn't support any weight. If there was just an 1/8 difference in length the preload would be different thus the height. Does that make sense? It does in my head. Maybe the amount of threads on the top plate is a little off even

It doesn't really matter though, I'm sure it will be fine when you put the ome's in.

 

yeah i get what your saying. I just noticed this today. Maybe its just me and maybe its not leaning. I will measure it and find out.

 

It also needs to be on a perfectly level surface.

 

Ya, I will probably mount it to my seat or somewhere else, it will go into the massive collection of flashlights I already have in there. And I have been surfing in this weather, and I have been very very cold lol. But I just ordered a new wetsuit that will keep me nice and toasty hopefully lol

 

I hope so to for your sake. It's been too cold for a sane person to go surfing.
