Southeast GX Broverlanding and BS

We use Toyota ATF W/S for the transmission and 75W90 gear oil for the diffs and transfer case.

 

I get 12 mostly city with 3” lift and 285/70s and a snorkel, hand calculated. My round trip commute though is ~7 miles each day.

I was commuting 95% highway at one point and could get 16. The short city commutes kill the mpg. Honestly though I got about 14-16 in my 5vzfe Tacoma, only mild 1.5” lift with 265/75/16s, on the same exact 7 mile daily route, so it’s not really terrible in comparison with my speedy driving habits added in.

 

calculated and the readout are identical, have measured both. *disclaimer I've only ran 2 tanks through it and both were pretty much 95% highway miles at the speedlimit.

I'm glad the gf has the CT! Slow as hell but 45mpg without trying.

 

Sometimes I loathe trips in the GX. I can get about 15mpg, but it feels way worse when looking at the gas gauge. lol.

I get 17/18mpg in my Tacoma with 35's...

 

I blame the heavy tires/wheels I have and the AWD system!

 

the awd is a killer. imagine driving your tacoma around in 4h all the time - mpg's would shit the bed.
