My father was a Dewalt man, so I’m a dewalt boy... However I do have a few Milwaukee m12 tools. Air snake, rocket light, propress and pex expander.

I also got the dewalt 12v impact, it’s fits perfect in my hand... They really need to expand their 12v line.

I will say tho the dewalt 60v tools are monsters. The leaf blower has crazy pow pow, neighbors hate me for using it everyday

Some guy was bad mouthing DeWalt batteries in another thread. I have 2013, 2014, etc 20V batteries that I have used hard, year after year. All fine. Was there a bad batch or something? It just bugs me mostly when people imply and really try to influence others with statements like "bad DeWalt batteries". I guess I am doing the opposite, but my experience is all good. No apologies!

Some people just abuse the crap out of their stuff, expect too much out of a tool, are just ignorant, etc.. My DeWalt has been great for what I do with it, My Craftsman (once I got Lithium batteries) has been great for what I do, My HF tools have been great for what I do with them.

I only have one 20v 2amp battery that shit the bed and won’t hold a charge out of my 10 or so. But its also probably 6 or more years old now

I bought my two 18v 1/2" drills and a 18v 1/4" impact driver well used in 2015. Not sure how old they were at the time, but I still got another 5 1/2 years out of them before the batteries became too unusable. I've decided I will see what I can get for the tools on marketplace and use that toward a new 20v lithium set.

Finally posted the listing last night, mentioning the dead batteries of course.
Gotta love the interactions on maketplace:
    Guy: "What's wrong with them?"
Me: "The batteries don't hold a charge"
Guy: "Same things wrong with mine"
    Me: "Okay"

Well I guess Li-Ion batteries have a finite cycle life. Hahahahhahaha.

The good news, many batteries are lasting beyond the number of cycles originally estimated.

I just added a 20V die grinder to my collection. It's like a Dremel on steroids.

It is a brushless motor and variable speed with 3 settings - 0-10,000 0-17,500 0-25,000 RPMs. It also has two bright LEDS at the front. It is a 1/4" arbor.
It came with 2 wrenches to tighten the bits.

Two posts down is the Amazon link for the bare tool only. It should have the 10 piece burr set and the arbor for the 3" cutting wheels on that page.

I got the 3" cutting disks and the various metal and nylon wheels and cups from HF.

Which do y'all think is better for cleaning out gutters and moving wet leaves? Mph or cfm?

Squirrel cage DCBL770 or Axial DCBL772

Interesting question. I think more mph is better. But in this case the difference is small so I’d pick the DCBL772 because the overall blow force will be higher. It’s also a bit more ergonomic.

Best way I can think of it is the higher CFM 772 is like a wide wall of air, and the narrower opening of the 770 pinpoints the air more which sounds like it'd be better for my use. I'm leaning towards the Squirrel cage DCBL770 but wanted to hear others opinions.

As a side note battery prices are all over the place. Home depot has some bundles with the 770 blower and the chainsaw and a battery for one price, and the chainsaw with the 770 blower and 1 batteries for $10 more. With 2 batteries for $70 more. Bare tool compared to with charger and battery, the battery is $100. The battery alone (60v 6ah) is insane.

My shop is a mix of Porter Cable, Delta, Milwaukee, Grizzly, Rigid, Ryobi, Kobalt and Husky. The Porter Cable/Delta tools are before the Black & Decker purchase.

I have learned most of the difference is the price of the brand name. All are made in CHINA or Taiwan, some are moving to Vietnam.

I can just picture a pile of chargers and you riffling through them like an AS Seen on TV tupperware commercial where all the lids explode out of the cabinet.

Nope. Very few Battery tools. A small drill and a flashlight.

Corded has no limit on power or duration.

Also......battery tools are not cordless. They are tethered to the charger with a cord. Batteries will deplete and lose capacity over time. Then you can shell out $100+ for a new battery or get a complete tool for $300+.

Extension cords are much less expensive than a battery.

Well that's no fun and very limiting to have a cord tied from the charger to the tool.

I have their hammer drill, router, and most recently a cordless chainsaw that gets 'er done nicely. Possibly more, but those are the ones I can think of offhand.
