What good is the $100 in that kit if it won't even buy you an adequate tactical pen?

 

I will continue to use my extensive MacGyver like skills and spend the money on beer while I tell the tales of adventure.

 

Check out the EDC subreddit. There are literally dudes min/maxing the amount of utility they can fit in their pocket and bragging about it

 

The fact that you know that exists is concerning to me.

 

What's more entertaining, its all just a bunch of shit like keychains, bottle openers, etc. I'd say most EDC guys don't even carry/conceal carry an actual side arm.

There is a lot of overlap with the handgun/concealed carry and EDC communities.

Sure, not disagreeing with that. I'll stand by my comment that majority do not carry a practical solution to defense, and bask in the glamour of shiny things, as opposed to useful things.

I do have to admit that with the EDC surge has come some badass, inexpensive flashlights. Something the size of a AA battery can completely blind a room full of people (heh).
