Rubbing When I Turn Left While I Accelerate

    Hey everyone, this is my first post on here. I have a 1999 Tacoma PreRunner that I have had for a few years. I am a 20 year old college student and I have done absolutely everything to "my princess."

    A few months ago I decided to change my lower ball joints, tie rods, and rack and pinion system. Since I did that, I noticed I get a rub when I turn left while accelerating. For instance, when I turn onto a street from a traffic light or into a street from a center divide w/ oncoming traffic. It is only when I turn left. I don't feel/hear it any other time even when I'm on trails. It doesn't happen when I turn left slowly like into a parking spot. I do get some tire rub with 33x12.5r15 0 offset wheel, but this doesn't really feel like tire rub.

    Anyone might have a clue? All my ball joints look fine, no damage on the outside. They are new MOOG ball joints.

    Welcome to TW, my dude.

    Do you know which side you're getting the rub on? Both?
    Off the top of my head - If you're getting rub while turning left, I'm thinking it would be your passenger side wheel. Especially if you're accelerating into the turn. That would cause your truck to lean into that side even more as you are turning.

    Considering you've done tie rods and rack+pinion system recently, I'm thinking it could be an alignment issue?

    Thank you for getting back to me. I was thinking it was maybe an alignment issue but I'm not really sure how to check. I get tire rub on both sides but this rub is only happening on the driver side (I'm pretty sure, that's where I feel it) I don't have my sway bar installed since the end links snapped on me, so I do get more "body roll" while turning.

    Did you have the truck aligned after all of that work? what suspension setup are you running?

    Ya i had it aligned right after but not from a "well known" shop. I'm running Bilstein 5100s OME Coils AAL for the leaf pack.

    I would look at the transmisson mount and Right Engine mount if it only to the left while accelerating.

    No. But if broken the allow driveline twist which can create rub.

    No but it could allow the engine and Trans to move enough to cause things to rub.

    To allow things to move on the left suspension that would not normally move .
