Does that retrax cover eat up a lot of room inside the bed? Where it rolls in?

 

Not really because the box is suspended so you still can put long items under the box. I can still throw mountain bikes over tailgate with plenty of room behind the rear wheel.

When we ordered our '21 Pro back in November of 2020, our (very knowledgeable) sales person told us that "A very small number of '21 Pros will be made in LR, so you may have to choose one of the other colors." Luckily, we were able to order LR, and our Pro showed up in only two months (one month to be built, and a second month to ship it to Colorado). The good news is that by ordering it, we didn't have to pay for added-on options that we did not want. Our only option was the remote lockable tailgate.

 

Where did you find the sweet Maxxis tires and what is the size? are they E rated or SL?

 

SimpleTire had them (with a nice Veterans discount) $660 I think I paid. 265/70-16 SL (I absolutely did not want E-rate) and they weigh a mere 38lbs. About one lb more than OEM shitbox tires. Got my Taco back after full front PPF and ceramic coating on entire truck.

Simple tires should deliver my Maxxis tires this Thursday.

Seamless full front and whole truck coating was 3600 or so tax included.

And before someone starting saying things like "you can repaint the truck for less." I used to be in the bodyshop business, I will never have a repainted vehicle. It will never be right. For starter, clearcoat will yellow at different pace, which is why most shops blend adjacent panels to try to minimize that effect. No thanks.

Well, that and most painters in the industry shouldn't even be painting matchbox cars. I mean, I saw many paint booth doubled as BBQ booth during winter times, the industry is so bad I will never go back in.

 

Yay! You won't miss those Shityear Stucklers (I think I may be trying too hard there).

I also did clear bra over all the leading edges of my truck. Grill, front half of hood/fenders, A-Pillars, mirrors, and the Tailgate too.

 

The most cinematic drone footage I've ever captured, I got on my first try! Of, course I had good subject matter.

Yep. The Maxxis are. Quickly becoming my favorite AT tire to date.
