That's a horrible idea. What time?
That's why I added the stripes. It really diffused the glare and now I hardly notice it.

One of the things I did when researching the truck I was going to buy, was look at the reviews. It paid off. I'm happy with the dealership (other than the price tags on some of the service recommendations). I'm really glad I didn't by the Ranger based on the service department. I take my wife's car to the local Ford dealer for warranty stuff, and they have been a nightmare. They are getting better since they changed owners.

Glad to hear everything went well!! As much as I was a little nervous about changing out the mirrors...the first hole I drilled in the trunk of my Z3 to install the luggage rack system was much worse. AFtyer the 1st, the last 3 were a snap.:D

These arrived today - my weekend project will install a set of USB ports in the rear of the center console.

Did the USB port come with the wiring harness or did you buy it separately?

Threw the tires and wheels on today.

Took out the front mud flaps. Barely noticeable rub on the flares by the cab mount which I’ll just trim down. I think that’s everything.

Washed the taco today and noticed something that's fun to try. If you have keyless entry, keys in your pocket and you spray the door handle with the hose the door unlocks.

Installed OEM running boards. I learned from Tacoma World that OEM 2’nd generation running boards will also fit perfectly on a 3’rd generation. I can attest that is a true fact.

Do you have a power driver seat?

I'm debating about the Desert Jackers, but thinking of putting them on the passenger side, so I have a place to mount a fire extinguisher.

Honestly, I've never touched the stuff and have no plans to after reading the sds sheet especially section 3.2 which lists the chemical composition:
    https://media.napaonline.com/is/content/GenuinePartsCompany/173482942pdf
Methanol, Naphtha, (both extremely flammable liquids), petroleum distillates (common in most detail products), dimethyl siloxane (silicone), and tall oil (byproduct of wood pulp processing).

I don't see much good about smearing a bunch of tall oil and methanol all over the paint or how they can advertise this as such a wonderful product. I doubt it will remove swirls. I'm sure it works wonders for stripping anything off the surface, maybe filling in some defects temporarily and making the paint look shiny though.

There is no quick and easy way with polishing. It takes prep and time. Hand polishes are available from Adams or Meguiars that are decent, but not as good as machine polishing. They're great for small scuffs.

If you're on a budget and aren't willing to deal with the upkeep after the paints corrected and you wash your car with regular bath towels (I used to before I knew any better), some generic wash and wax from Walmart or Costco like meguiars, mothers California gold, ect. and some spray wax would probably be better. I've been wanting to try this:
    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Turtle-Wax-Hybrid-Solutions-Ceramic-Spray-Wax-Coating-16-fl-oz/423331361

and I've been really impressed with this:
    https://www.lenosgarage.com/products/hand-wax

    UPDATE:
This would be my recommendation for your black truck with swirls. It will fill in defects and it's tinted dark to help with black paint and can be done by hand. Best of all, it's cheap at $20.
