    You find the G/M angle of any specific location you're in.

    When plotting on a map, you're dealing in grid...on a flat piece of paper. And since we all know the earth isn't flat.

    Anyway, shooting an azimuth from one point to another on earth is measured in MILS magnetic, so you need to properly convert it to paper.

    My brother told me a story about ranger training when they had to land nav at night in a simulated behind enemy lines scenario. Looked at the map and said "fuck it, straight line is fastest. Not sure what these lil squiggles mean but I'm sure it'll be fine"

    Squiggles=swamp and he almost drowned his partner cause the water was deeper than him:laugh:
