One planet per die is actually a super neato idea I would've never come up with! Maybe I'll have to do that one of these days when I have a free mold. I'm at a point where I can't make enough molds and they're all booked out o_O currently have plans through May... oof. Thankful for the work, just needs some more molds to ramp up production so I can make some decent money, haha

I don't even have a use for dice, but if you can make them like Mova globes I'd buy a set....

Woah, that's a hell of an idea. with 2 halves of a glass sphere I could probably make something like that, but it wouldn't float as seamlessly, and the amount of time put in would be intense, lol. Usually if people do liquid core they just inject mica powders into some water in a glass sphere and cast that in the dice.

Realistically you'd probably be better of finding planet marbles. Sounds much easier.

My first piece of furniture - a kitchen table.

Top is 1x6 glued together with a couple extra supports screwed in horizontally underneath. Legs were purchased pre-made, that's the only part I "cheated" on. Table skirt is 1x3.

It's far from perfect but that's why it's the kitchen table not the dining room table. Eventually I may try to fix some of the mistakes (or if I get the itch to build, maybe even build a new one) but in the meantime it's perfectly functional and I'm proud of how it turned out.

YOU always know where your mistakes are. That doesn't mean that 98% of the rest of the population can find them. The summer after graduating from high school before heading off to college my summer job was helping a carpenter add 1.5 stories onto his own house. One of the first lessons he taught me and one that has stuck with me is when he told me that in carpentry, "A mistake isn't a mistake if you can correct it." Sometimes that meant fixing it so that the mistake could not be seen. He never left any work as shoddy work that compromised the integrity of the carpentry.

That's some great advice. With woodworking it can be tough to balance fixing mistakes vs. being too much of a perfectionist. The first time I glued all the tabletop pieces together there were huge gaps and they weren't aligned very well so I scrapped that and started over. When I stained the top there were some horrible brush marks and I ended up sanding it all off and restaining it. There is still a black streak down the middle where I used too much stain and the wood grain doesn't show through at all. (This was also my first time using water based stain which is much less toxic but, I found out, is a lot harder to use.) I'll take all these lessons learned to my next project. All part of the journey.

bugs the hell out of me if i make a mistake on anything i make - sewing, painting, cross stitch, sketches, photos - but i've been trying to embrace it and leave one wonky thing in there as a sort of hidden signature. like you said, no one else is probably going to notice so the wonky bit is my secret.

I've already recovered most of flex of my hand and the tingling is gone. After 3 weeks this is how it looks. . .
    IMG_20210318_004609.jpg
The dissolving stitches are all but gone now. The first photo was right after the surgical bandage was removed one week after the surgery.

What I'm feeling now is making me question why I waited to have this done. That little bit of pain after the surgery and the discomfort when I over do it are a small price to pay to get rid of all the pain and tingling prior to the surgery.

The pain was mostly activity related or it would wake me up. I was having problems gripping and twisting the throttle on my motorcycle and gripping my turning tools were becoming a problem too. CBD oils would help sometimes and hot water other times but neither worked every time. The pains were getting worse but weren't disabling. I could bump the tip of the index finger at times and it would almost bring me to my knees. The doctor opened up the tunnel the nerves pass thru to release the constriction causing the pain.
