Got the raptor lights in. They didn’t get here til after dark but still got it done. Next is rock sliders. Any recommendations in SoCal?

Great shelter I have the same one, it'll hold 2+ feet of snow no problem & the rounded top will allow snow to slide off.
Which cover did you get? I made the mistake of getting the cheap one only to have to replace it two years years later because the sun destroyed it. Still rocking the cheap doors tho.

 

Depends what are you used it for, I have fold a cover g4. I can stand on top of it(250lb). I did it for safety for my firearms.

 

I purchased the RC Tri fold low profile cover. I like it. Easy to install! Barely visible from side profile

 

Elaborate using the step by step process.

 

First, watch the video Spotter Mirror has showing the install. In the video, they tell you to use a pry tool (after placing some tape to protect the bottom edge of the mirror housing) to pop the OEM glass off. Another member recommended to me to just use your hands to grab the bottom edge of the OEM glass and pull up/out after canting the mirror to the full up position - I did and found it worked very well. I also used a hair dryer to heat the plastic pieces/clips a bit both on the OEM before removing it and the new glass before installing it. That made the plastic a bit more pliable and eased the removal/installation.

Otherwise, follow the video instructions. Be aware that the connectors for the heat element are really tight and hard to remove - and the OEM wires are short. Be careful. I found that using a small flat tip screwdriver to leverage the connectors up a bit helped to loosen them for removal.

Had to replace the clutch, and still haven't figured out how to get the whole transmission to slide back in...

 

I'm happy the video helped, thank you for the kind words. In your case, did the 3 inches down from the top of the removable back panel not allow the usb charger to clear the bottom of the cup holders?

 

I'm interested in the answer, too. I will be doing mine today or tomorrow. The info on the wire size helped, too. Fortunately, I bought a kit with various size taps and have one for 22 ga wire.

 

Where did you get those decals?

 

I should have went like 3 1/2 down. I ended up opening the bottom of the hole up a 1/16” and actually grinding the case of the charging port to an angle putting a taper on the top side so when the panel was installed it gave enough clearance for the cup holder. Just be careful if you have to do that and know too much and it is junk. There are wires and resistors and such inside of those things and you really don’t know where they are. On my port the last 3/4” was hollow.

 

3.5 to center or 3.5 to the top of the hole?

 

Yeah 3 1/2” would have been better for me. I had to think through it. Lol make sure you measure mark and measure again. Not bad but the only real problem I had was self inflicted.

Yeah I got her done. I was warned to check for clearance by you and I didn’t do it enough. I wonder if it because my truck is a manual transmission and it’s a little different?
