You'd think theyd know their customers better!

I think I need to sharpie it as well. I've thought about it but by the time the day moves on I always forget.

Also, do yourself a favor and treat old bottles as "disposable". Milk is bad but formula even a few hours old is terrible. Why gag? Just throw that crap away!

We had to do formula as the wife wasn't able to keep up feeding regularly after the first month or two. The stuff we use lasts 2 hours.

But the formula doesn't come in a bottle, so can dump the old liquid, but the bottles are kept and reused. They are silicone and meant to last a long time.

That's the ones we use. They are great at everything except late night/early morning viewing.

@Bridge4 Is the formula you use always liquid or powder that you mix up with water?

When my kids were using formula we used Enfamil powdered formula. Prior to going to bed we'd fill our bottles with the appropriate amount of water and cap them. So when we'd wake up at night we'd simply measure out the correct amount of formula (X number of level scoops) and dump it in and mix it up. For awhile we had a divided container that we'd fill the with appropriate amount of formula so we didn't have to do any measuring whatsoever.

If you've got full liquid formula, that's another issue altogether.

Yes its a powder. And we have done that, but sometimes she goes crazy and drinks like 20+ ounces over night, and I don't know that we always have 3-4 ready to pre-fill. I guess I need to sharpie+not be lazy and prefill.:thumbsup:

I love my wife very much, but she has a special talent of finding the most expensive things out there for any and everything.:spending:

That said, we have been trying to be china free with things, and euro/us made tend to be spendy. As a plus for these bottles though, she took them first try on her second day alive and never any colic. So besides these clear markers they really were a 10/10.

Any one got either an Android TV box or the Nvidia shield? Our fire stick has been a pain in the ass lately so it’s time to step it to something better.

I looked at the NVIDIA Shield for a while but couldn’t justify the cost of a device that I’d only realistically use for streaming. Ended up getting a Sony android TV since I was looking to upgrade anyway. Only had it a couple weeks, so far I really like it. The UI is soooo much better than the LG TV I had before. The built in Chromecast is a cool feature but I haven’t used it much because the integrated streaming apps are good.

How do those differ than a standard streaming stick?

Up until last month I hadn't purchased a new TV since 2010 which was a cheap bedroom TV. When I snagged my circa-2007 Toshiba for my sim racing rig I ended up with a new Samsung Smart TV and then inadvertently ended up with a small Vizio Smart TV when my wife thought she'd need a new computer monitor for school and it made sense to keep it for a kitchen TV.

We had a Roku on our main TV which seemed to work better than the Firestick we had on other other TV.

That being said, I cut the cord a few years back and run YouTube TV as my main TV service (we also pay for Netflix and Prime but have Hulu, Apple TV+ and Disney+ via either included trials or family sharing) and I cannot be the only person that overall doesn't like it, right? I actually really miss basic cable, but mainly the interface. I miss channel numbers, a guide that doesn't start at the top and the ability to just turn on the TV, not wait for 30-40 seconds for everything to queue up. Granted, with cable I had 300 channels I don't watch and now I only have 70. With the kiddos the TV is usually set to either Disney+ or Blippi (twitch), so it doesn't ultimately matter. Disney+ may have the worst search engine in the history of the world, however. For example, I went to search for Beauty and the Beast (a common, popular Disney movie) and it didn't even show in the search until I got "BEA". When I put in "B" I got some obscure Disney Junior TV shows from the 2000s.

But, for the cost savings I can put up with it.

Any recommendations for a hitch mount 4 bike rack? The Yakima and Thule ones seem to getting terrible reviews. Sister in law has the Allen one from Amazon and hates it too...

I’ve been with out cable TV for a long time. We have used some of those antennas, starting on the cheaper end and slowly upgrading to better ones. We have done the same with streaming devices. My rational has been a month saved not paying cable is worth a device.

went through a few Rokus, and now have a couple Apple TV’s. They all have served certain purposes when I bought them, such as the last Apple TV you can download apps to and there have some we use to stream Live music.
We bought the fire stick to for the web browser built in, again steaming live music and the TV watching. But recently the connection or the fire sticks about connect to the router has been shit.

with this purchase, I’m looking for something that I can stream from my PC, I’ve been tinkering with PLEX and am also looking for devices that will work well with that. Which the Firestick was good until recently. I also like the ability to add some portable drives and play from them. And have a good web browser. Then Android boxes look to be under 100, but my some says he believes they are junk. The Navida is either 150 or 200.

Raspberry Pi? Depending on how much tinkering you want to do It could make a neat little Plex server.

That makes sense. I liked the Roku streaming stick because it was a reasonably fast interface. I really don't like the Samsung smarthub or whatever it is that I have that came with the TV, but it does do everything we ask of it. I just miss the ability to easily search what I've got / just knowing oh Channel X is say 839 and just going straight to there, rather than having to turn on the TV, launch an app, navigate the guide to the channel, etc. It's absolutely first world problems, but what isn't, right?

Can you expand on this a little bit in terms of getting all the channels Xfinity has? They're my Internet provider but I wasn't aware you had access to anything TV related if you didn't have their cable service or pay for any packages.

Are those the arms for the suspension or frame? If so, the body is the only thing keeping both ends together!

Ok, my Roku made my tv into a smart TV . I was able to download the Xfinity app and stream live television. So when I turn my Roku on I scroll to the Xfinity and it’s very easy to use. They are my internet provider and that’s how I got it
