Still think TITNC3: Return of the Iceberg was peak

I feel like the minority of shares people are holding for this are in places that cant be taxed. If GME hits 100k, 1mil, or what ever number reddit is talking about now, I will have zero problem with the gov taxing it at 37%...

 

OK so after getting in at .011 and getting out at .0143 I may be getting back into $SANP on Monday at .008x. They have a ton of social media activity on Twitter including various photos of documents for their IRS and state registration in Wyoming. Wyoming has some very interesting crypto and Blockchain friendly laws. It looks like they’re getting their OTC listing paperwork in order to get up to date with sec filings. I’ll be doing some more reading this weekend

 

I really think that if it got over $2000 a share they would put a 30 day hold on trading. It wouldn’t make any material difference in the pricing but it would allow the markets to slowly react to the impact. It would also allow all the shorts to get their cash together and possibly seek funding without having to liquidate blue chip assets and crash the stock market.

 

Im actually surprised they didnt freeze it for 30 days after we had 7 halts in 1 day.

 

The one issue with this is options are not able to be traded on halted stocks...So they could essentially lock out every single call option in the money and force them to expire by halting the stock for 30 days.

 

So if you had a option, and it was worth 20k, but the stock was frozen, the person just straight loses their money when it expires? That would be shit.

 

So I can move my shares over to my T Rowe Price 401k / Roth IRA to avoid the taxes and still be able to sell from there when the time comes?

 

No, you can only put cash into an IRA. You would have had to have bought it there in the first place.

 

Couple recent journeys I’m on include NMTR, if they get a pill for celiac disease approved it could be significant, believe stage 3 study right now. And NNOX, new X-ray method. Well no, if you had an $800 call option on GameStop That you paid $100 for and it went to $1000 a share and then halted you can still exercise the option but cannot resell it.
So you would need $800×100= $80,000 to exercise to get 100 shares worth $100,000...
So to make $20k you need $80k.
I’m wondering if you could get a quick loan from a bank using the option as equity or find investors....If you didn’t have the cash

 

Ah gotcha, good thing I dont do options, I dont have that kind of cash on hand.

I'm not so sure that is the case. This is all theory since I can't find any rules about what would happen.

If a stock is frozen you wouldn't be able to exercise the option because you can't buy the stock because it's halted.
Options prices don't go up or down because the underlying security is halted.
It would be just like pressing the pause button.

So, my guess is that there was a 30 day trading halt put in GME the options chain would just roll over to the next month. It would be just like rolling out and up. You'd be rolling out only though. And you wouldn't be doing the rolling it would be done for you.

 

Just read that Cathie's new 2025 target for $TSLA is $3000. I'll be happy with that.
