Ok guys, straight to the point!
I have a 2015 Prerunner with Maxtrac, bilsteins, OME 883 and 1 inch BL. I never go off-road, this is my daily drive and work truck. I want to upgrade to 20 inch wheels with 33x12.50 tires. Honestly, I am ignorant when talking about wheels offset, back space, etc. So, my question is, if I don't want any rubbing or trimming, what kind of specs should I be looking for in the new wheels? I don't really want the tires to stick out much more than the ones that I already have. so, I was thinking on 20x9 maybe? Photos would be greatly appreciated :)

I bought a truck that had 20’s, hated the way it drove so I immediately replaced. It handled like a bouncy bumper car. You’re certain it’s what you want? I’m sure it looks good, not for me.

If you look on tirerack.com, there’s options to upsize and such.

It's going to ride like you have rocks for shocks.

So, should I downsize to 18 inches?

The more sidewall of the tire you have, the better the ride.
    My 2012 has 17s and l think they're perfect !

    Personally I wouldn't go above 17"

I'd also suggest Cooper Stt Max tires , 33" could cause rubbing so I'd say 30" max and 10" wide. Good long lasting all weather tire.

I'm running 285/75 r16 right now and no rubbing. I have 6 inch of lift. But the 12.5 is what I'm worried about.

Wow...6" lift. yeh 33's should be fine. Why you want such a wide tire?

Because the 285/75 look a bit thin with the Maxtrac spindles.

Twenty inch wheels are very doable. Ask me how I know that. And no, the ride didn't degrade terribly.

The Limiteds come with 18's standard and ride quite nice. A 33 inch tire will give you more sidewall height than stock but ultimately the tire you choose will play a major part in your comfort.

    Cheers.

Ok, yours doesn't look terribly silly like mine did. If this link works, this isn't mine, but what I was picturing in my mind.

I’ve seen worse in person. Imagine a 67 chevelle with even bigger silliness.

I know I see that crap all over town here with those tires that look like a rubber band. It has to ride like crap.

I have 20x12s with 33s on my diesel. It rides the same as the stock wheels/tires. I like the looks on that truck but I’ll never go more than 17s on the taco.

But you don't have those tires that have an inch high sidewall either.

Exactly! It's the ridiculously short sidewall that kills any possibility of a decent ride.
