Wow, I've been wishing there was something like this for the 1st gen Tacomas forever! Interested in a gloss
black one with red lettering as pictured in Ritchie's post above.

Hello..I just purchased a Napa Premium Legend 24F (sealed/no caps) for my ‘03 PreRunner but the stock battery holder (front) doesn’t sit flush. I’d have to bend the battery holder down.
Does yours fit the larger batteries??
if so, I’ll definitely purchase one ASAP.
All black would be fine with me.

I am guessing your problem is your new battery is taller. Do you know how much taller?

I send the hold down out with two (2) black plastic spacers that go under the front mount to the radiator core support. Depending on the height of the battery you are using, you can use 0, 1 or 2 spacers. The spacers are 3/16" thick so two would be 3/8" thick.

For a 1st gen, I have textured black with gloss red TRD or raw aluminum without coatings in stock.

You are correct, the new battery is taller.
The textured black with gloss red is fine.

 

It looks like about an 3/8" gap so I would say that it should work.

 

Wanted to give a big shout out to @Coupe for the quality battery hold down, and great communication. Highly recommend if just wanting to dress the engine bay up or needing a functional piece to secure a larger battery.
I purchased a Napa Gold Legend 24F but the oem battery holder was a tad to short. I didn't realize when I purchased that the battery post were reversed, but that's not a big deal. So, in the pictures below, you'll notice that the label, etc., is not facing forward.
Below are some pics in case you are considering getting either the battery or the battery hold down.

 

After April 1, 2021, shipping will be an extra charge, it will no longer be included into the price.

 

I will be happy to sell them to you for $95 for the powder coated ones. $75 for the raw aluminum. But you will need to pick them up at my house in Houston, Texas after April 1.
