Looking good! Must have had to sell a lot of honey to afford that Big Green Egg!

I’m going to be firing my smoker up here shortly. Doing some ribs and chicken.

@Fargo Taco, any word on your replacement parts? :fingerscrossed:

    Sounds amazing!

SUPPOSEDLY Traeger is supposed to get their shipment of barrels in today so they can ship me my replacement. Then it'll take another week to get it to me. I won't be smoking for at least another 2 weeks. :frusty:

99,615 miles. That's what I figured was to just get a new bearing and 3 u-joints and take care of it. Kind of a weird noise but I will investigate that when she leaves here shortly. It's hard to tell the noise because of the near 40k mile BFG/MT on there. They're a little choppy in the rear.
@wilcam47 I can try and get a couple pictures. Just comparing the old to newer. It looks like possible shields might be missing. I need to look again anyway.

Egg is 14 years old and the best investment I ever did, it works and well worth the price.

New and old, guess it looks more like it could be just a different design. Looking at the rear of the old one (not in picture) is where it looks like piece is missing :notsure:20210320_113213.jpg 20210320_113328.jpg

That’s what I do, I’ve found that I do more of a 3-2-2 method. I wait until I see the meat around the rib bone end retract. I also remove the “paper” membrane from the back of the ribs.
