Yea I got a call while at work when he was rushed to the ER. It was real bad. I didn't tell anyone I just ran out of work. And straight to the hospital, they didn't know what happened to me until my boss called me 3 hours later. Which he was cool about it after I explained.

Bought a RTT, do I need to upgrade suspension?

Just did 4600s a few years ago. Before you ask, they were free. Buddy sold his truck.

In order to have a RTT you gotta have kings, it’s written in the small text

LOL I missed that part. I was thinking an AAL but it’s only 150lbs. Taco has okay payload.

haha not doing it to be trendy. After 10 years on the ground in a tent, my old ass needed an upgrade.

AAL probably wouldn’t hurt, but probably isn’t required either

That’s what I’m thinking. Plus it’s not going to be mounted on the bed 24/7. Just when we go camping.

Well really, at least you didn't create another suspension thread considering 1 new one is posted daily in the 1st gen section...but if your leaf pack is aged then it needs replacing.

Nah I’ve done enough reading to not have to post a new thread. Just differing opinions. Never had a RTT.

okay to add new OEM leaf packs?

    150 is pretty light.

New springs up front and new general springs leaf pack in the rear will bring back lost height from stock.

Are you on stock suspension or aftermarket?

I did new struts and shocks 2k miles ago but they were Bilstein 4600s. Free from a buddy. They were new.

I assume when you go camping though you're gonna have more gear than just the RTT back there. The 3 leaf AAL didn't cut it for me and I have a small RTT. Neither did Dakars. All Pro Expos worked ok. Eventually for custom Alcan leaf springs to handle the weight. I think you'll need more than an AAL on the stock leafs for sure
