265/75R16 let's see them

Year one and many mods here it sits on Dakar medium leafs and 5125’s in the rear with 5100’s and 885 OME coils with 3/8” inch spacers and camburg uca’s. Oh and KO2’s

 

Who mounted your tires? See that red and yellow dot on the sidewall? The red dot is supposed to be aligned with the tire valve.

 

I was thinking the same.

 

I got them done at Mavis/NTB. U guys sent me down a rabbit hole.... but I went out and looked the tires do not have an excessive amount of weight on them, and I have had the truck up to 85, and I have had no vibration at any speed. Here is a quote from tire rack...

“There was a time when the valve stem hole on standard wheels indicated the optimum place to which the tire should be match mounted. However, with the advent of styled, steel wheels and aluminum alloy wheels, the stem position evolved into an aesthetic issue rather than being a uniformity indicator. Add to this the probability of wheels retaining their original runout after thousands of miles of use and you can understand that simply mounting the tire so the colored dot is at the valve stem is no longer required practice.

We have found that the only way to accurately match mount replacement tires on used original or new aftermarket wheels is to use Hunter tire balancers which have the ability to measure wheel runout and tire force variations under load before the tire and wheel are installed on the vehicle. Using these machines, a colored dot might be positioned anywhere on the wheel relative to each wheel's runout measurement. In the end, the markers have little, if any, relevance when replacement tires are installed.”

I put my foot in my mouth here. When i had mine installed a few months ago, i asked them if they knew about the dots. They said yes. I was just putting air in my tires and noticed they lined up the yellow dots with the air valves instead of the red. And thats a toyota dealer.

 

Anyone running AR172 baja Wheels on their 265/75/16's with no lift?
Want to pull the trigger at 0 offset, but heard that they rub on calipers, can anyone confirm?

No rubbing, stock suspension, zero trimming.

 

Went with 265/75 ko2s , 5100’s, OME 885s and Deaver AAL. Resulted in 2” all around. Thanks @HeadStrong Off-Road

Installed the Toyo AT3’s and Black Rhino Stadiums over a year ago. Been great so far, gotten a bit louder on the road, but I like the hum so it’s all good.

Yokohama Geolandar M/T...no lift, no rub. Only 6 miles on them, but good so far.
