This is inspiring me to get a box together with spares for road trips. I dont wheel like you, but it would give some peace of mind when you're thousands of miles from home.

Yea peace of mind is always nice. Even on camping trips you could always run into something unexpected. I just like to be well prepared. Almost done with my trail toolbox as well. Ill probably end up throwing some ujoints and spark plugs in the case to.

Is there any gasket or FIPG that goes where the trans meets engine? I didn’t think so

Some people will put some RTV around where it mounts to the transfer case but there’s not even our TV there from the factory so I didn’t do it

Torque converter took about 3/4 of a quart after waiting a bit. Then stood it up right to put it the tranny and it drained some more. I let it drain until it stopped so probably only got about 1/2 quart in there. Does that seem right?

Hopefully. I forgot who posted this but I’m going to try to mimic this setup. I’ve got some 1/2 inch steel rod to play with

Make sure you put cardboard around when you cut the hole if you use a grinder. You’ll melt shit in your cab lol

Well that’s just great, I’m not very precise with the grinder lol

You think once I get the t case bolted up, it would be safe to test drive? It shouldn’t matter if I was in 2wd but if I tested the t case in 4hi/4lo, I wonder if it would throw off the gears with there being no resistance from the front driveshaft/diff
