Gotta love the power companies. Electricity suddenly went out today.... Was on the internet and POOF - everything shut down. Happens. Checked on my cell phone. Took them close to an hour to acknowledge the outage on their map. Checked a couple of times and all it ever said was "Investigation in Progress" About 2 hours after it went off, power suddenly came back on. Website still said "Investigation in Progress"

About an hour AFTER it came on, we got a phone call from the company informing us that "You are experiencing a power outage and we will let you know when it was back on"... I could only laugh.

I was getting close to getting the generator out as the sun was going down.

I did the same thing to the basement today...feels so much better to have it done, but damn, did we have a lot of crap that we didn't need. Recycling can and trash is now full; one trip to Half Priced Books got me some gas money and 4 boxes of books out of there...back and legs are feeling it from about 100 trips up and down the stairs

so then decided to celebrate the first day of Spring with a 5 mile mountain bike ride/crash fest...so will DEFINITELY not be able to move tomorrow

    false advertising....BAN!!!! :angrygirl:

yeah, yeah. i just wanna see the weather forecast first. make sure i can get enough campfire time

i took some mortin pre/post clean up and again this morning. hip and feet are hurting a bit today but otherwise I'm doing OK, kinda surprised since yesterday was the most physical activity I've done in 5+ months.
i won't be making any money on what i cleaned out unless you count the camping stuff i plan to sell - just stuff i know i won't use anymore now that i have the camper. threw out the tape deck from baby Toy, kept the box of random computer cords until i can figure out what they go to

    Yes it runs.
    Not great.
    Few strange noises.
Older couple. Guy says it stalls a lot.
He can’t use it and can’t justify trying to fix it.
Offered to buy it but he said no.
So I pushed it down the street to my house.

    Good morning all.

An outdoor patio set was delivered yesterday from HD. On the boxes, there was printing that said the slipcovers are shipped separately. So I opened everything and assembled them. We found a small dent on two of the chair bases so the wife calls. The set is sold out and looks like it’ll be discontinued so the offered a discount. Okay fine, we’ll take it. She asks when the slipcovers will arrive; they put her on hold and then hang up on her. So I contact the a bit later via the chat option. Well, they can’t find the covers and they should have been delivered with the set. Because they delivered it two days early, I need to wait to see if they’ll arrive (by magic I guess). The set is no longer available and this one has a wood fire pit table. The others that we like are gas. So now the great negotiations will begin if the cushion covers don’t show up. In these instances, I really wish they 1. Had store pick up as an option, and 2. Allowed you to discuss it with the local store in person...
