You truly know how to do retirement right. Given what I’ve read of you from your posts on these forums, I think you should write a book. I bet it would be an interesting read.

Thanks it was very different .

One of the hard parts was his friends telling me "he is your Father you need to Love Him"

To be Honest He might have been a great person away from the whole being a Father thing.

My 308 flat looks better than most of my guys' TIG. My vertical however looks like birdshit.

Too early. I won't do mine until mid April. The first part of Spring is weekly. Then, as it turns dry - maybe every other week, all the way until the end of October or the first few days of November. Now is just too early. Besides, my yard is soaked from a hard rain a few days ago.

How do you determine when and where to land?

You really don't have much ability to steer. You use the wind direction at different levels when you can and then you just keep track of time/propane and look for spots to land. Our pilots were born and raised in northeast PA and have flown here for years. The wind patterns are fairly consistent over time so they know the various opportunities to land along most given directions. It's always a little more challenging when you travel to new places to fly.

Our pilot today landed in a spot he said he wanted to try landing in for years...and today the winds finally cooperated.

Sometimes, when it gets really dicey, you drop a line and the crew can pull you into a spot, although that's unusual.

It's an art and a science.

Thanks. We do try to enjoy ourselves and take advantage of life's opportunities. I've been really blessed in life with two amazing careers that have taken me around the world. Along the way I've had a few close calls. Now, we just keep trying to live life to the fullest. Book? Short story, maybe. I'm not that interesting.

There is a new cidery here in Fleetville, PA that's been open for a few months. We finally dropped by - weather was gorgeous and the cider was fantastic. It's only about 3 miles from the house so we will be going back.

Was $419 at Lowe's or Home Depot. Got it at Lowe's since I had a Lowe's card so I saved an additional 5%. Immediately paid for it afterwards, just wanted to use the card for the discount

Get the feel for moving the electrode .

Vertical tie ins can be tricky they took me some time to make them look pretty.

I start out ready: exercise, fresh air, lawn looking kept. About half way through he cutting season it grows old. By Labor day I am counting the approximate number of times left, thinking about how nice it will be once it gets cold and snowy. Then, I won't have to cut grass. Then the cold and snows starts, and so does the cycle the other way, as I think about Spring and cutting grass. LOL.

I do almost everything TIG, this is just to improve my skillset.

My 7018 is prettier, the 308 has a super thick and annoying slag.
