I pulled the trigger on the 98-00 grill. I’ll probably get it around late Feb. since I selected the cheapest shipping option. Will post pictures once I receive it.

IMG_2249.jpg IMG_2247.jpg I ordered this from AliExpress ($169) 18 Dec it showed up yesterday 29 Jan, it is for the 98,99 and 2000, the ordering process is kind of hinkey, there are two color boxes, black or grey, I checked the grey box, got a black grill with grey letters, ok im fine with that. I am not at home, work off shore, schedule messed up due to you know what, my wife opened the box and text me these pics, thought I would put on this post and share, don't know how they fit or feel, just thought I would try some different nose art. I will give my opinion when I get home sometime in Feb and install it.

I think it looks pretty good. I'm just not a fan of the LEDs in the grill.

These are up on eBay now. I see prices from $340 up to $400. One seller included a picture of the 98-00 installed.

    Sure.

I think it looks off because the bumper plastic and grille plastic are so different. Maybe it would look better with some flat gray paint or an aftermarket bumper?

Update on PRO grill (98-2000) Well this is it installed
My opinion: Fit...sucks Finish....poor, the mount prongs on grill dont line up to receiver holes very well, some not at all, got the top ones snapped in and only the center one on the bottom, i have the grill left justified as far as the mount will allow, have gap at passenger headlight, rubs on drivers headlight. If You think Your going to buy this grill and plug and play.........forget it.
What I did: A week before installing I painted the grill satin black, ordered new smoked Anzo headlights to replace my 10yr old crystal Anzo headlights (they were due) also ordered the trim fillers (below headlights) and painted them satin black as well to complete black eyebrow look, feels more like black eye.
Hindsight: I think this grill looks good on the 01-04 minus the lights and trinkets, but not really a good match for the middle child (someone else,s moniker) I think the best bet is going to be modifying the grill I removed and do the black mesh kit with the white letters as others have done on here, better time period look.
Recap: As mentioned earlier in the post I bought this grill on aliexpress from china and knew I was taking a chance so Im not mad about it, just want to inform others and hope none of our members pay $250 or $300 on ebay for this grill, its not worth it IMO.

I agree honestly. I bought toyota oem clips and they didn’t fit right in the grill. Ended up using the zip tie method but probably would not buy the grill again. I’ll run it until something breaks

Hey bud, can you post a link on here for where you bought your 01 to 04 grill? I've searched aliexpress and no 1st gen 01 to 04 grills exist, especially no pro styled ones. Only one place on Google sells one for way over 200 bucks. Really can't afford double the price and don't like getting ripped off. Thank you for your help bud, or anyone else that can help.

For some reason the links I post through alibaba don’t work. Here’s a screenshot who I ordered through. It was 155 shipped. You just have to directly message the place shown at the top. Hope that helps

Can’t find any on eBay that have TOYOTA on them…..just plain mesh. Not even room to add TOYOTA separately.

order through Alibaba. It’s cheaper and that’s where everyone gets them to resell. They come with the toyota letters.

Legally they can’t show that in the photo but in the description it should say that the letters ARE included.
