So i broke the tab on the throttle body electrical connector. I used black gasket maker to hold it into place temporarily.
Any other suggestions to secure it in place? Thanks

I think a better description is needed. Are we talking about a harness retainer, to hold a harness in place away from hot or moving parts? Or a connector tab to hold a connector snapped in its socket? Pictures would help.

It was the 6 pin electrical connector that plugs into the throttle body. I ordered the new connector. I’ll have to de-pin the old and crimp in the new pins and seals.

Why? De pin the old connector body and plug them into the new.
Shouldn't need to re pin the wires.

Edit to add this link. It has ALL the connector used on the truck along with instructions for removing the pins.

    Good luck.

Glad you got it fixed. Pulling those wires out can be a pain, sometimes impossible if you don't have the correct tool, even with the right tools still difficult. Then sometimes they pull out very easy. I've found the square ones easier than the round ones.

This one absolutely sucked, immediately returned.

This one I've had decent luck with.
