Regarding the ABC.com kit from Brian, I plan on replacing the iQ charger button on my '18 Sport since driver side cubby hole was swapped out for my light bars and pods.

Has anyone disconnected that iQ feature/button or had issues swapping the button with something more useful, i.e. this mod?

You shouldn't have any issues just removing that switch. Just, maybe, tape off the wire that it was plugged into before casting it into the abyss.

Of course... this goes without saying: you lose Qi charging functionality.

If you still want Qi charging, you could always just enable it... then toss both the switch and cable behind your dash and you'll have your open spot for a switch.

Thanks, that's pretty much what I thought and was expecting. I could care less about the Qi charger, so letting it disappear into the abyss is fine by me.

    Cheers!

My experience...so far...with the anytime kit...........

    o) This is the kit i ordered: https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/products/2020-kit?variant=32412745302094
    o) This is the wiring diagram i used: https://www.anytimebackupcamera.com/blogs/install-help/component-diagram
    o) I used this diagram to determine which plug was which in the back of the head unit
(this came from a link on the anytimecamera website) https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0...0d-5e1667c7f163_1024x1024@2x.jpg?v=1607033142

I saved all of these wiring diagram, instructions etc. in digital files....you never know when a
website link will lead to something new...that wasn't there last week........i don't need that aggravation.

Did a dry run of this yesterday/today.(ie. no firewall stuff or switch install)

I have a 2020 tacoma 4cyl 4wd access cab that came with rear camera only.
I don't have any of the TRD, Sport, 6 cylinder higher end etc options.
I don't do any 4 wheeling or trail riding.
There are plenty of blank spaces for switch in this truck.

I ordered the kit with the 'better' camera..wed feb 10 and got it thursday feb 11....
I chose UPS ground shipping because i had enough dealing with USPS delays for a while.
I think it was 8$ extra for that.
It was 'apparently' shipped from somewhere in NY state to my DE address.

While i was waiting for my diagram i attempted to find a 2020 tacoma anytime camera install video.
Didn't find one for a 2020 tacoma. But i did find one for the same kit installed in a forerunner
and a previous kit installed in a 2019(or maybe it was a 2017?) tacoma. They were helpful with how to remove
the head unit trim and head unit itself.

    anyway.......
I carefully dumped all the parts out on a table. nothing missing.
I looked at the wiring diagram and crossed off the sections marked 'regular camera'.
and then proceeding to wire everything up using wires nuts...for the time being.

I only used the wiring diagram above to wire everything up.....and the the pic of the rear of the headunit
to deal with the harness bypass sheit. I did *not* use any wiring sheit from any videos.

Today i took the head unit out and put in 2 harnesses as mentioned in the picture
    and tested it out.
    It worked fine.
the correct camera showed up when the switch was in front/rear position.
in the middle the normal console image appeared.

Next............I'll mount that front camera, muck with the switch mounting,
probably solder the wires, tape up all that sheit up
and deal with the 3 wire loops on that front camera harness...not in that order.

Personally i would have preferred a kit with no extra parts/wires and a wiring diagram
    for this exact kit only........

I have a 2020 TRD OR with the front, rear and 360 camera installed from factory. I apologize if someone has answered this already. I'm not too concerned about having the rear cam on while moving forward but what I would like to be able to do is have the front camera on at any speed when off-roading (currently automatically shuts off at 5mph). Does any one have any suggestions on how to bypass the speed restriction?

If I get the front only option, will it work with the stock rear option?

Did you ever get an answer for this? I have this mod, and I'm thinking about replacing my OEM (non JBL) head unit with a Pioneer, and would like to keep the functionality of this mod.

I have the stock head unit. I just want to add the front camera to make parking easier. The ones I've found on the net are pretty expensive. This is the most affordable interface I've seen. I haven't gotten a reply yet.

Has anyone got this to work on a 2021 Tacoma yet?

I’m trying to install followed wire diagram couple things I noticed. The red wire off premium camera when wired to green wire on relay and switch the camera just stays on. Did connecting this wire the switch works when putting in front camera. When put in rear or putting car in reverse screen goes black on my head unit. any suggestions?

Have to ask the obvious question: Is the RCA jack for the rear camera plugged in? If so... when you can get your front camera to show on the screen... does it switch to the rear camera when pressing the DOWN Arrow on the steering wheel control? (Do you see a rear camera picture on your HU?)

Ordered mine last weekend and got it installed this weekend. It was a very easy install— 1 out of 5 difficulty. It took longer to solder and wrap in Tesa tape than to actually install.
