What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Replaced my cracked original taillight with a set of “pro style” taillights. Not sure how I got the crack, just noticed moisture in the lights one day and noticed an inch of the plastic missing near the corner.





Since the lights were out of the way, finished the install on my total chaos bed stiffeners. Three bolts need to be tightened with the lights out of the way. @TOTAL CHAOS

 

Because they are not recovery points. They're cosmetic.

 

Added a little more interior blue to my true blue truck.

Learning how to carefully get in my truck after installing the seat jackers!! Found I can’t be as fast as I used to be. Put a second set on the passenger seat.

 

Thats a good price. Makes the decision easier for sure. I know many have run that combination but I just couldn't do it myself plus I think the offset is a little different to give a slighter wide stance. Post pics when you're done. I'm sure it will look great.

Oil change day. Over tightened the drain plug in the oil filter housing 2 oil changes ago. I replaced the plastic housing with the aluminum one.

When you don't have a bench vice but have a tacoma frame and 3 ton floor jack.

 

I relocated the 2 by the fuse box, then there are 2 for automatic trucks trans and tcase. 3 for manual trucks 2 for trans and 1 for t case. I can do a write up if need be. They are located on top of the trand bell housing, if you look down from the booster you'll see them. I pulled the breathers off T fitting to 1 line then split it at the mount itself.

I didn't know we needed to do this as well besides just the rear axle housing.

Finished up my cook lights. Fully adjustable. Wired to a switch in the cab.
With a little help from my 3 kids. Oldest was eating lunch when I finished.

Did the AC drip mod today. Luckily no rust yet (only 10k on the truck, bought used with 8k on it).








And a pic of the chrome delete on the bumper caps I did a few weeks back.

Added a Softopper and rigged up a removable 3rd brake light.

 

Had to gut the interior after the incident where I got stuck in a lake (Instagram @jwizzmasterwet for more on this!)

Took advantage of the situation and installed Noico 80mil deadening and 150mil Insulation.

 

I put the X15 on my 2021 TRD Sport and love it. It sits right flush with the bed and the material has a texture to it that is much nicer than just vinyl. Best part is that on Tacos the X15 does not use clamps, rather it comes with brackets that bolt into the bed rails for a real custom fit.
