Changed clutch in December (unfortunately with stock parts). Worked perfect for couple months then pedal went to floor. Finally got it apart last night to find broken quill. Looking around I see the fix-u kit to be best option but pretty sure not manufactured anymore. Wondering if clutchmaster internal hydro conversion would work since it appears it rides on quill, or if anyone knows of another option.

The Clutchmasters does have a spacer that installs on the quill. Pretty sure it would not work with the broken quill.

Also, a few of us have had complete failures and not just leaks.

I read every single post on that thread. I have weighed options and could only see options of clutchmasters or replace trans. Moving next month so kind of on a time crunch and would not be daily driving, only lake truck. For now I’m leaning more toward getting it running to move even knowing it could just be temporary

It's a bummer but I'm pretty sure the Clutchmasters bearing won't work for you without some sort of self fabricated bracket, if at all possible.

so it does use the quill to center it? Saw someone else saying he has one installed one with broken quill and was wondering what he did

It has a bushing/spacer that sits on the quill. If the quill was partially broken it would work.

It may work if there is enough quill left to keep it centered in place but I saw your pic in the other thread and I'm doubtful.

was considering having a machine shop weld piece back on if I had to but wanted to try dry fit first
