We made a few batches of popcorn this weekend the "old fashioned" way, in a kettle on the stovetop. Messy & takes longer than a microwave bag kind but the results were worth it. :D

Probably a dumb question but that's done on a lathe right? Just spiral cuts at a particular speed? I've never used our lathes at work for something like that, of course I've only rarely used a machining lathe at all.

There’s a tool for it. You can change the rollers for different size checkers

    LEFTY!!!:annoyed:

Yeah, getting a knurled finish...my difficulty is consistancy, one time they look great next time not so much. It helped getting new wheels.
The air popper, that's how we pop corn to make Great Grandmothers Caramel corn.

We go to medical center in Omaha today, leave in a hour or so.

Getting a surprising good return this year, I changed withholding to take near max out after having to pay in a couple years.
    Have a good day everyone.

Once it starts to engage it is supposed to stay in it's own track so you just move it one way or the other while the little wheels spin. My problem is is gets crossed up and doesn't stay in the same track and makes an ugly finer knurl.
