    Tailgate cooking? Sounds good.

Been meaning to try out more cast iron recipes. I'll warn you my taste buds are a little off (last time I made enchiladas, I tossed in a bunch of raw onion. I loved the crunch; it nearly killed my wife and son. Oh, you sautee the onions first? My wife does all the cooking, but I do up some wonderful created (hint, be really hungry, and any food looks good) when camping.

RSI Shell arrived. It was in the back of a 53-foot trailer, so no chance of backing that down my caliche driveway. The driver was cool, he looked at the 200' driveway and lots of rocks and said "I'm not getting too far down that with a pallet jack". He pulled while I pushed the back of that 350-pound load. We got momentum! I think the driver was surprised how hard I could push. Motivation! I wanted it into the shop.

Still working on my 'tab A into slot B' RSI Shell. It shipped flat, some assembly required. What a pain in the rear! Wooden blocks, heavy plastic mallet, and lots of swearing.

For anyone who has built something, you step back and think "next time I'll make it easier" after the tenth prototype you have a nicely dialed-in product. I feel that was all cad designed with "ya that will work, let's ship it". Wooden blocks and a mallet are your friends. Tools required should show those, duckbill sheet metal pliers (bent up flanges, but boxes were fine, duckbill make fast work of straightening) and hearing protection, and lots of beer.

We got four out of five together. Just need to finish the front (towards cab) panel. The rear hatch was a pain as we realized those sides aren't close enough. Loosen up the bolts, more pounding. Work height means a lot of squatting. Don't skip leg day at the gym!

Forward Air dropped the Caliraised Sliders off. Thankfully short truck, so easily backed down the driveway.

    Slowly coming together!

Lawn overdue, so today will be yard day.

That's one nice thing about the Alu-Cab, ships completely assembled.

I ran across this today. The seller is interested in my sprinter van so if the FJ sells, it helps me out too.

Tell me details about the van. Oh wait, I just bought the Tacoma! I love my van, but when we downsize parking will be a challenge.

It was great for road trips and camping, but too friggin large for anything off-road. Still, it went places no van should have gone.
