Don’t currently have a build thread. The current “tub or box” of the trailer is 72”L x 48”W x 23”H... basically a lot of the overland trailers currently being professionally built post dimensions online and I picked which one looked the best for what I wanted. There’s some stuff I would change for the next one I build though. This is my second build and I learn and want to change things every time, just how it goes.

I get the axle from Amazon and it’s a 3500 rated axle, 60” from hub face to hub face, with a 5x4.5 bolt pattern (old Ford ranger, old jeeps, etc). The only thing I don’t like about it, is that the leaf spring perch setup and springs are too close to where the tires mount. Fine for skinny trailer tires but not fine for wider tires. So had to get spacers to kick the tire out a bit. Next time I’ll buy new perches and slide the leaf springs in a bit so I don’t have to do wheel spacers.

Yea. There’s quite a few vehicles that run that pattern

This was fun. Measured the center distance of the tubes after it cooled off. It’s .007” off. Hopefully it won’t be tight on the slide.

Appreciate it! Got some more progress on it today. Fenders, tail light housings, and mesh step. Not bad for 2 hours

    I did the same,
Lowered from 15 to 10, Same result no porosity. I'm excited to think that I could be saving 33% each time I pull the trigger! :dancingbacon:

March Break was last week, and I took the week off to be with my oldest Son ( and to not go to work :D )
Managed to squeeze this out during the break.

I bought the CAD plans from a local company who claimed they were for 05 - 15 taco. after much research it's really for a 12 - 15 taco, Once I understood what the issue was ( had horrible gaps and was waaaaaaay off ) it was full steam ahead on the old "make it fit" train

I'm pretty pleased with the result so far.
Definately been giving the Lincoln MigPack 140 a workout. :welder:

The pen trick worked a treat, by taping them together it gave me 3/4" clearance between the body and the bumper. Did a semi final test fit last night before my final weld pass. Looks decent!

I had my heart set on a single hoop that follows the grill line and some little side supports, but then I just seen @EatSleepTacos bumper and noticed he's got a long and low bar..... Damn!... Decisions decisions.....

I originally added my low bar out of necessity for the pods but it ended up really tying the bumper together. It's about 3/4" in front of the face of the pods so if I bump into a tree I don't need to worry about breaking the lights anymore.

House has an older furnace, and an electric air filter that doesn’t work any more. There’s not an exact fit filter for it so I made a heavy duty box for it out of scrap angle. It fits in nice and SNUG now!6BB12DBE-445B-49EF-98C0-6C3AC94D652D.jpg 2BB34D8A-AC0C-46CA-AC50-3A7F6BAF74C1.jpg D99D2793-2D96-42EC-A590-540D45EDB973.jpgA2835325-AD7E-4A55-9A52-CF4236AE624F.jpg

well I’m supposing it would negatively or positively charge the panels that used to be inserted and the dust, hair, whatever would attach to the filter like static cling. Then you could remove the panels and while them off. This is all speculation lol

    that's neat,
were they a PIA to clean?
I'm guessing they are pretty expensive since your not replacing the units, but going with a regular filter

hopefully I made the right choice. Was going back and forth between the 252 vs 255. I would say that I won’t fully use the machine to break it during warranty so I am trusting the new inverter tech base on reviews

Honestly I don’t know, i talked to somebody probably a year ago about it I just can’t remember......I’m a wealth of knowledge lmao I think the actual filters themselves might have been fine the power supply to them I think was fried
