keep in mind these are 265/75/16 LT so load range E. Tread and sidewalks are different than the SL version.

For some reason, the tire calculator at Sam's Club indicated this tire was not compatible with my 2016 TRD Off Road 4x DC. Tire is
    Toyo Open Country AT3 - P265/70R16 111T Tire
    Model # 355230

It's clearly the stock tire size for my truck. Curious if anyone would know why it would show up as not being the correct tire for my truck. Could their configuration tool be wrong? Thanks for the assist.

Not sure why that wouldn’t show up but it could be they don’t sell that tire either. I don’t think I could find those on the list for my Sam’s club. I moved up to a 265/75/16 due to the fact that tire size is more readily available if you are traveling and need a replacement.

They were actually able to get the tire in for installation tomorrow. They also weren't sure why it was not showing up on the list of available tires for the truck. Odd thing is, they show up when you search based on tire size, but not based on car model. Hoping I don't run into any surprises, but we'll find out soon.

These look to be sold out everywhere. Any idea on when they’ll be back in stock?

I was looking for these as well. 265/70R16 SL. Only available in E load rating..I don't need that rough ride. Toyo has no
answer for availability on these as of yesterday.

How do you like them so far? What type of mileage are you getting. I bought the Falken’s and while I love the feel it is crushing my mpgs. Even the SL tire in stock size is 43 lbs!

Hard to say. I just started a back to back VFTuner comparison for two of the tuners here. I *think* I might be down 0.5-1.0 mpg, but I'm only 1 tank into it. I switch tunes tomorrow and will see if I see any changes. It's also possible that we just changed gas formulation down here so that would confuse things too. After the two weeks of tune testing, I'll go back to OVTune 2.0 and run it for a few tanks and see.

Did not realize I had the tires installed with the wrong side facing out p285/70/17
    20210125_124911.jpg

Had them flipped, hard to see from pictures but looks much better in person.

    20210321_135507.jpg

Interesting enough when the were first mounted I noticed it took 10-12 ounces to balance each wheel. When they were flipped took 0-3 ounces to balance

How is the rain performance on these? I was debating this or the nitto terra grappler g2's last year and unfortunately went with the G2's, rain performance is not that bad but it doesn't compare to what the falkens used to be..

The biggest problem is that they break traction too easily when taking off in the wet pavement, even when not pressing the pedal too hard. Thinking about buying these ones or going back to the falkens and selling the G2's since they have only been used about 10k highway miles to recoup a small amount.

From what I’ve heard the OWL tires they do not have the aggressive sidewall option. It is reserved for the BW tires only. I run the white letters in on my 285’s. They are still pretty white so I def need to go get them dirty.

Nice review. Don't forget that you can go skinny and save a lot of weight while also improving some traction aspects. I went to a 245 LT from a 265 SL Wildpeak and ended up lighter with the same height. An AT3 245/75/17 is 31.5 at 44lbs. Obviously if you don't need the extra load capacity then SL's are fine. I had to go up due to a camper and love the setup. I do wish there was a skinny 32in but then that would be adding more weight again. Happy with the clearance/performance and looks this tire brings.

Consider changing width to save some weight. My LTs, first set ever, ride just fine. Cant really tell if they are harsher than my SL wildpeaks but definitely feel better cornering. Went from 265 to a 245 and ended up lighter. Just posted some pictures.

Its been great! The build quality is exceptional. We just got a base model and currently working on building it out. Its starts at about 900 lbs. Don't notice it on the truck when on the highway and can still parallel park it, tailgate closes. Coming up mountain passes, the truck never had to jump up to 3000 rpm and cruised up. Almost finished with the interior.

I drove my Tacoma with these in the rain for the first time this week. Really heavy rain and I didn't have any more issues on my normal route than the stock Goodyear Wrangler Adventures I just took off. They are a bit louder but not really noticeable. Size: LT265/75/16 my buddy runs Terra Grapplers on his and he says they are horrible in the rain and when he accelerates he has to be really careful. Hope this helps.
