your truck totally reminds me of the camper we had growing up. Dad had a 1972 Ford F-150 with a set up like that, and we vacationed all over Canada, Michigan and up-state NY in that thing. Awesome, awesome memories!! We never stayed in hotels. Always camped. My first time in a hotel was junior year on a band trip

will definitely look at those!! I love "window shopping" the campers. I think that in our situation when using the camper, towing - and the ability to unhook and leave it at the site - will be more to our advantage. I tow a 28 foot race car trailer as part of my job sometimes, so I am used to towing.

where is that pic? I don't know if we are going to go into total overlander mode with the teardrop...and any backwoods camping I would do would accessed via mountain bike/bikepacking...probably from base camp where the Taco would be parked...so many options...so little money <---gotta be crafty in how I do it!

Ours are referred to as kissing bugs...if they bite you it leaves a nasty black wound as all the flesh dies around the bite.......

That's chagas disease from that little parasite they can carry. We had an outbreak of them about 5 years ago. My bug man found some while spraying for scorpions.

    They are bad news.

The thing is that they're shaped similarly to our black stinkbugs, which also come in brown. About the same size, too.

    Yes.

    We all have.

It doesn't fit the legal definition of hazing, either, so Johnny Law can't touch us.

they get bad every 17 years here in Ohio too...in June and July, sometimes it is like driving through a hailstorm; the dead bodies pile up on the side of the road like dirt drifts...sort of gross
