04B89420-5581-4DC0-9C63-E9EF4B3ED685.jpg So with only 904 miles on my 2021 TRD OR. This is what I’m getting and curious about what you guys are getting?
I had initially opt out. But I got curious and went back in. I figured they’re going to be collecting the data anyways. I don’t drive like an old lady. But I do think I’m a decent driver.
How slow am I supposed to take the turns? I’m not driving it like a sports car in any way or manner. That is just impossible on this trucks. And I’m also paying extra attention while I brake it in. But 43 harsh turns with this mileage seems a little harsh... lol. I can’t even imagine what is going to show me after the brake in period is over...

Edited to add picture. That I forgot to add...

I've never heard of it until now.
What is the purpose of this app, is it for insurance?

This app? I couldn't find anything in it about drive stats.

Edit: maybe it's part of the paid stuff?

I get in the low 90s babying it during 500mile break-in. If I lived in a rural area, it would be easy to get the upper 90s. I live in the Houston metro area.

Toyota is either offering or partnering with some insurance company. According to the message I got from the app. They’ll track it for a while and later send insurance offers. Not that I’m interested in their offers. Because there is no company that can touch the pricing from my current insurance wawanesa. At least that’s what I’ve been told by other insurance companies whenever I call to check. I do every few years.
I was just curious of what it would tell me about my driving. Lol.

That’s the app. Probably related to the model year of the truck. I had a 2017 TRD sport and it didn’t have it. Both with the base model of the HU.

98 for me, 9 fast accelerations, 25 harsh cornering and 3 harsh braking. Not sure how they determine what is each.

I have a 2021 sport premium MT and do not get these features on the app. Apparently manual owners don’t get these features. I’m also in Canada so that may be another reason as TPMS do not show pressure on dash or app either.

Serious question... do you really care what some app... or even someone else... thinks about your driving? Seriously, I would like your thoughts.

Personally, I think apps that look at your actions and offer a "score" or "advice," are simply a tool for behavior modification. Think doggie treats and that should make you pause and re-think WTF.

The "safe driving" app. The one mentioned above. Any step tracker. The Apple app that tells you your pulse and shit. Every one of them is designed to modify your behavior. Maybe some people think they are good but it is just one step closer to making people into "sheeple" where a few will end up controlling the masses. I want to be my own person as long as I can. I watch ads and analyze them instead of falling for the pitch.

In what period of time? I can only tell because I just got the truck beginning of this month. but don't see anything in the app that says what time period it covers.

I have no idea, I've had my truck for 6 months and look at the app maybe once a month out of curiosity.

Don't really care about the app or anyone's opinion about my driving. I'm just curious. Is not going to change my driving habits. I already drive good enough. Is more like a fun thing at this point. But I do use an Apple Watch to help me modify my behavior. lost 50 pounds already... lol. mostly because I'm like a out of sight out mind kind of person. so either carry a mirror in front 24/7 or just have the watch remind me that I need to get my a** moving.. lol.

After the first 500 miles of babying it my rating dramatically decreased from 94 to 70ish. Then I flashed OVTune and opted out. I don't need it sending data from my "spirited drives"

That’s what I’m thinking is going to happen.. lol. I’ll probably stay in. I don’t believe that opting out is going to stop them from collecting the data. Someone else here has a thread going about the data collecting. And I’m one of those that believe the only way to stop the data collecting would be getting off of the grid completely. That’s not going to happen.. I’ll miss Alexa at home and Siri in the truck... lol.
