none so far but I haven’t taken it off-road yet.

 

Gotcha, the consensus seems to be that the SEMA wheels have a big enough offset that with a small lift theres tires would be okay

 

Only rubbing issues I had were with the front mud flaps. I tried pushing them in with a heat gun but ended up just trimming some excess plastic with a cutting wheel and now no rubbing. I also removed the front air dam before mounting my new wheels and tires. I have the FN FX Pro wheels which are 8’ wide versus the SEMA Pro wheels which are 7’ wide.

 

What kind of mudflaps do you have? I have Rokbloks and am wondering if they will rub.

 

Have you guys been able to fit this size tire in the spare tire well?

 

I believe they are Weather Tech mud flaps.

 

I didn’t get a spare in 275, figured my donut could get me to limp to the tire shop.

 

2020 Runner wheels and 275 Wildpeaks, no lift, I can get it to make a little contact if I lock the steering and hit the swale in my driveway (going up into the drive) going faster than I would normally pull in. Did it a few times (it didn’t rub every single time) over the last couple of weeks to see if I could tell exactly where the contact point was but I don’t see any real marks yet. Normal driving, full turns equals no rub. I haven’t tried to stuff it off road yet but I don’t think it’ll be too bad as we don’t do or really have any place to go rock crawling around here. Mostly dirt/muddy hunting roads with ruts and holes or on the beach. We shall see.

 

Yes it fits no problem. Also, if you want a little extra clearance under your spare tire, you can can use a 255/75/17, which has the same outer diameter, but will tuck up under a little better.

 

I said f*ck the 275s and went 265s lol. 8" wide replikas make them look beefier too. Zero rubbing was a bonus too.

I personally think the 265s look undersized, and I think I speak for everyone on this thread (except you ). Your rims peak my curiosity, but messing with offset can trigger unintended consequences. Oh and mine definitely don't rub, but I have Kings and a 3" lift. If you like your set-up that's what's important. At least your speedo is accurate.

Exactly. The biggest reasons I went with 265 is because KO2s don't come c rated in 275s and I was pretty set on that tire and load rating for the smoothest ride. And with a 2" lift and 8 inch rims I think they fit perfect with a nicer stance. Plus down the road I always have the option to go 275s with maybe the wildpeaks or something, we'll see. It's good for now haha

 

I also like a decent space between the top of the tire and fender. I hated how close it was stock haha so got the best of both worlds

 

For guys that got Wildpeaks in this size, I noticed that these tires are a little on the heavy side according to the websites. Do you guys think a re-gear would be necessary to accommodate this weight? or Have you guys been fine with these tires? I am considering pulling the trigger on this for my next tire and want to be sure that I'm making the right decision. Thanks!

 

I think if your Tacoma is already burdened with other weight from armour etc, you are gonna notice the hit you take from these slightly larger and heavier tires and may want a re-gear. On a stockish lightweight truck, it’s no biggy.

 

I’m just gonna have rock sliders and maaaaybe a steel skid plate. But that’s about it so you think I’ll be fine?

 

I don’t think you’d need a regear, but some guys regear stock, so it’s likely a preference thing.

 

Running the Wildpeaks in 275 C load and my acceleration took all a hit. Lost roughly 2 MPG. I’m overall still happy I chose to lift and get new wheels/tires. Might give OV Tune some serious consideration.
