What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

Installed a Redarc Liberty trailer brake controller. Fabricated an aluminum bracket for it to mount under the dash and replaced the cubby with a switch panel.

 

Very nice, A guy I work with owns one and his wife is actually the pilot. He is the chaser. They fly in and around our area a good bit and plan to travel around the country when he retires in a little over a year. Maybe one day I'll get up in one.

 

well worth it, had a local guy map it for $250. can roast the tires and theyre 295s lol

 

Maybe if you told them you had the tune. Like I said, they can’t see it. As I see it, I am the pedal commander. If I want to go faster quicker, I push the pedal farther quicker!
But if you really want better performance, trade in your 4 cyl for a 6

 

He said they would see it if you had to bring the truck in for service. He told me that when they hook their computer up to it it would throw red flags.

Except the truck doesn't do that. That's the point. There's lag. You can push it as hard as you want, the truck will delay

 

I have to disagree. I just pulled out on a busy hiway and it burned the tires and revved up quickly to speed just fine. But I did just get the ecu update few weeks back. Maybe that's the difference. But I have to say, my truck performs just fine when I step on it.

Girlfriend is the most expensive mod you'll put in your truck by far.

 

New to the forum, but I’ll play........ just bought the truck and was looking for a good and secured bed cover that won’t be hard to remove if I need to transport my motorcycle. After some research here, found info about the diamondback covers and found a used one 3hrs away. Went on a road trip and have to say, it was well worth the drive and damaged tire I ended up with thanks to a metal stick that stabbed it at only 500 miles on the ODO.

 

Testing my new camping generators today. Also ordered some “snake oil” to keep me busy (K&N 57 and AIrAid throttle spacer.
