Back is still fucked lol

Abs are still separated but I'm dealing with it. I still have a huge upper abdominal bulge after lifting.

I have a tendency to tweak my erectors on elevated deadlifts and over head press. Did it on the first event today.... Still managed to pull through and hit some PRs on the next 4 events.


It's funny cause I haven't lifted in about two weeks since I've been sick, haven't prepped for this show, and woke up this morning thinking I was gonna bail. I decided to go and treat it as a strongman workout day and ended kicking everyone but one guys ass.

 

Broke 2 PR in 2 days.

505x1 deadlift PR yesterday
105x6 dumbbell shoulder press












Also broke my back but yolo

How have things been?

 

Good man, things have been good. Working to improve in every aspect. Actually have been seeing a therapist for my anxiety for a few months. Put me on some meds and man life is good.

Who knew so many things in my mind would shut off with a proper chemical balance

I just started Buspar. Keeping my fingers crossed no side effects with my workouts

Went for a 6 mile run on this lovely 65 degree afternoon. Passed by some girls who were walking their goats in the park haha.

 

Eh. That has been very closely turned into a “if you do it safely” kinda talk. We are gonna try to get one more in the oven and then I’m gonna get my blood work done and see where everything sits and go from there

 

You see SC Nationals is in Salem, VA this year?

 

No I did not. Did that just get released?

You’d think they would’ve announced it. Assholes lol. I’m so not ready to compete at that level but I’m gonna give it my all. Most competitive guys in my class can DL 700 And I’m just trying to hit 500

Little over 7 hours for me.

 

Yeahhhhh buddy. Just got 235 for 2 on the axle. If anything has been learned from strongman, I’m a decent overhead presser. If only I was a good deadlifter.
