What size blades for windshield?

What size blades do the 2009 Tacomas take? Also, what are your preferred brands? I always get the ol cheapo but they don't last. Was looking at the RainX... are they good or a scam?

 

I just stick with whatever size the little guide recommends.

 

I think someone just posted the other day about this. I didnt pay much attention to the post, but I think he may have said 2x 22" ones will fit.

Just wondered this today.

22" Drivers
21" Passenger

 

22" Driver and 21" Passenger. I brought PIAA SI-Tech Silicone Flat Wiper Blade last November. It was really good wipers. Clear rain and snow easy. Got it from Pep boys, about 18 - 20 dollar each.

 

Driver side is 22", Passenger side is 21". You can run 2-22" blades without any rubbing or other issues (I did that by accident for a while). I've got the Bosch Icons. They work really well so far. I think they're worth the money over conventional blades.

 

when i have to change blades, i love silblades. they are expensive, but they last years. the PIAA units are actually really nice too, and you can get refills. that is the only drawback to the silblades - though they last indefinitely, if something DOES happen, you can't refill them.

i am curious to see how long the stockers last with proper care. my wife's Si has had the honda rubber wiper refills changed once in almost 4 years. i clean and treat them often so i'm hoping that will work for this truck.

 

I had my stockers on for 2 and a half years. I didn't use mine as a daily driver though, so my miles were weekend activities and traveling for camping, etc but they were still doing ok up to the time I changed them out.

 

I was looking at the RainX Latitude blades. Just not sure I want to spend $30 on blades that aren't worth the hype.

 

I bought the RainX ones ($20 per side + rebate at Pep Boys) and they work, but nothing magical. I did use RainX on my windshield though and that does make a huge difference. I'd buy the cheap blades and spend the extra on a bottle of RainX.

Drivers side is a 22" and the Passengers side is a 21".
I use TRICO Flex they are good wipers and last a good while and run $15.99

I use the RainX blades and can't complain, I do like them. I got mine at Costco when I had a coupon, but Advanced Auto wanted an arm and a leg for them.

 

I just got Bosch Icon blades at Auto Zone buy one get one about $24.00 a set right now. I don't know when the sale ends.

 

I recently took off my original blades and replaced with RainX 21" on both sides. I am very pleased with their performance.

 

I just went to put my inserts in and realized I got 2 21's Guess I am just going to run to pep boys and suck up some new blades.thinking the PIAA's if they have them At night its getting hard to see with the streaking and we have another rain/snow storm blowing in.

 

I replaced mine with RainX weatherbeaters. Didn't last long. Picked up some walmart specials to replace them. :/

 

Pep boys didnt have the PIAA's will most likely just order another insert in a few minutes. I might still get the PIAA. Might be nice to have an extra set of new wipers incase zombies attack.

 

Wal-Mart ,Anco wiper blades.Change them once a year.Also use Rain-X.
