You could meet at the baseball field or the driftless education and visitor center

Sounds cool. So meet early in Lansing, wheel to Potosi, eat, chug beers and then maybe hit highways up to Wyalusing park to camp??

I’m still working on my details if able to go. Almost positive I’ll be able to hit the trail.
    50/50 on camping... lol

Giant parking area just south east of downtown Lansing

I’d still plan on filling up at the Kwik star once crossing into Lansing. Hopefully that construction is done!

I’m looking at 4-4.5 hours from my house. Just let me know what time you want to meet.

Oh, this sounds potentially cool! Thanks for the idea!

Yup! It's an easy, mellow day. We'll stop every hour or so to stretch, BS, take pictures, etc.

If Wyalusing is open for camping, I'll be there Friday. I might screw around by the river, fish, or check out some of the other back-roads around the area as well.

That spot is definitely an option.

I like the idea of the Driftless education area, but can't find any current photos of the parking situation.

    Yes!
The gas station with looping around is a pain in the ass!

It looks like a giant parking area at the ballpark.

That's a good question. I'm curious too. I moved up from Missouri. I'm running a ham and GMRS. I usually can just tap in to FRS with my other ham if need be.

The village creek boat landing is south of the ball field.

I have a cb. Cell phone didn’t work on most of the trail.

    $40 includes a mag mount antenna http://www.walmart.com/ip/Uniden-PR...am-703-HC-Center-Load-CB-Antenna-Kit/50705164

Ok, I have CB and FRS now. Everyone out East was running CBs, I felt like a smacked ass for not having one before. Maybe I should have got gmrs

Most of the people I go with have CB's, myself included. I will probably get GMRS eventually, but so far I haven't needed it. It sounds like it will be the best option once we all get on board.

Looks like another good option. I'm thinking of taking a solo trip this weekend or next to look around. Maybe I'll check these spots out if I end up out that way.

A lot of the regulars in WI have CB's now. Speaking of which, I need to get a new antenna mount! :goingcrazy:

It's weird the places that have reception sometimes. I was able to post pictures on here from the middle if frickin nowhere last summer. Then, I'll have nothing in other areas.

Hmm. My wife loves wheeling. Last time we went out I let her drive and she had a blast.

the last camping trip was her idea

And she wants to go to go to Moab for her bday.
