    Wife's leaving the doggo and I alone tomorrow, I was thinking about making a trek up towards Ice House or maybe Union tomorrow if you're interested.

    It's the southwest tip of ice House reservoir so not too far from the main ice House parking area and picnic area.

    I got stuck. Just the other side on the dam at loon lake. Beautiful place.

    So the road will be clear all the way up to the smud powerhouses (this past ice house). The rest of the way to loon isn't bad until you get to the chateau. Getting to just at the damn was simple. And you can turn around there. I got stuck 400 yards or so after crossing the dam. Going along just fine, but the snow is more packed. It's colder, cloud cover today, and I just slid about 4 feet off to the left of the existing tracks. Took some doing with a shovel and the recovery boards.

    I went up big hill lookout without issue. You can get to the parking lot at ice house but that's about it (turned off ice house rd to the right, same spot if you go left takes you to big hill).

    I feel like getting to union from ice house road is a no go, gates up everywhere.
