You gotta keep moving. As soon as you stop moving it’s over.
Pretty sure @Whitebutler has the keep moving thing down pretty well.

Anyone have any experience with 4x4 and more in Scotts Valley?
Looking to get upper control arms, front coilovers, and rear shocks installed with alignment.

Open to other shops in the Santa Cruz/Monterey County area that are recommended.

I just picked up my truck from Shaffer's Offroad in Alameda. They came highly recommended and it was worth the drive. They did what they said they'd do, when they said they'd do it and for the price we agreed. Also had them replace the steering rack. I'm doing the break-in still but as I said, they came highly recommended and since I know nothing about any of that, I am grateful for the recommendation.

When I can get the parts for the 4Runner, you can bet I'll be going back.

+1 to shaffer's. Went there for my regear.

For the work you're looking at doing, I'd recommend Milo (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/milogen-fabrications.490657/) in milpitas so its a bit closer for you. If you plan to regear or lockers installed, then I'd definitely say make the drive to Shaffers.

+2 for shaffers. Went to him for regear/locker install. My passenger cv dust seal started leaking after that install, but shit happens and I'd still go back to him. I'm replacing it myself this weekend, no biggie.

+2 on Milo too. I did my first CMC myself with BAMF plates. Then went up to 315/70 tires, and started to rub on CMC. Went to milo who did an aggressive CMC for me with multiple angled plates (not one flat plate and way beyond my skillset). His work is really good.

I went to them 18 months ago to get longer brake lines installed. I was going to do it myself but couldn’t get the fittings loose and did not want to risk stripping the flats.
Not sure how they did it but they got the lines switched and bled without damaging the fittings.
Cost about $110. I was satisfied and liked that let bring bring my own parts to install. I will go back again if I need something done beyond my skill level.
