    Yes. This is one of the main reasons mine will probably never see a 37" tire. I'm on 4:56s which work great for a 35" but wouldn't be enough for a 37 and I really don't like the idea of paying for gears again. :anonymous: lol

    Yeah, for the reasonable price of 4k before labor... o_O

    Rough estimate before you consider custom length drive shafts, etc.:spending:

    I'm dual cased already. My crawl ratio is totally fine. The issue is the highway to get to the trails. lol

    The 3.4L is a great motor but it just can't put out the power to turn 35's going up a hill even with 5.29's. 37/38's will make it that much worse. That leaves me with 2 options. SC it or LS swap it. A SC is cheaper and easier. lol

    Been running 37s on 4.56 for 5 years now. No complaints and actually get good fuel economy on the interstates (18mpg)

    I'm in the same boat. Can easily go 37s, but already having 35's on 4:56 and the truck gear searches on the freeway makes me really hesitant. Don't want to have to pay all over again for new gears.

    I'm actually very happy with the 35"/4:56 combo. Truck drives pretty well on the highway. I'd love to have a bit more power but overall I can't expect too much out of this platform. My biggest complaint is trying to maintain speed in the dirt. You can definitely feel the extra mass and the truck has to work for it. The slow speed stuff is fine, I just use 4Lo to my advantage.

    Dude. It's running good. I'm happy with it. No SC. too much money for little HP gain. It's gonna get a V8 (6.2 LS or 5.0 Coyote) in the next two years or I'll end up dumping the money into a tube chassis truck next.

    3.5” tubes, arb locker, 35 spline shafts, 5.29 gears, 70” wms to wms

    this is nice because it’s the same bolt pattern and I can get the same gear ratio as the front.

    I've seen so many elocker rears blow its stupid how weak they are. The non elocker rears seem to be quite a bit stronger. (Not saying they are indestructible, but definitely better out of the two)

    8 vs 8.8 with same size pinion I would imagine the difference is minimal. I’m also a bad comparison because I’m really hard on my truck.
