Back in the 1980s when l delivered pizza l worked with a kid that had a Ford EXP, he glanced down at the paper for the address and jumped a curb going airborn and smashing into a big old Lincoln. I was surprised at the amount of damage done to the Lincoln but l think it was the way he landed on it, anyways it had a For Sale sign in the window so after he crashed he knocked on their front door and told them he bought their car for sale, lol.

 

By the way, even with over 127K, and an accident on its Carfax record no thanks to a drunk driver, my truck is still worth more than $9,000!

 

Truck needs front brakes and it’s starting to show; Luckily it goes in on Thursday morning...

 

Book or including mods?

 

I don't go by KBB anymore as it undervalues my truck; That's Carfax fair market value, not including any mods, but I don't think anyone would pay considerably more for my truck just because it has intermittent wipers, a killer stereo, and a backup camera...

 

Yeah, the stereo probly not but the camera might. People laugh when they learn my truck didn't come with intermittents so yeah probly not on that either

 

Parts came in early, so the front brakes are getting done today at 4pm; $450 for parts and labor (Calipers, pads, and rotors)!

 

So I got my first COVID vaccine last Tuesday, and I get my second one on April 6th; My goal is to do all of the Carlisle shows this summer! I estimate that will put close to 1,600 miles on my truck just driving to Carlisle this year, included trips to and from the hotel and Sheetz during the Truck Nationals!

I’m currently almost halfway between 127K and and 128K; Do you think I’ll hit 140K before the end of the year?!?!

 

How many miles do you think I’ll have by the end of this year?

 

Parts came in today so Pete did the brake job ahead of schedule; This is one of the old brakes...

 

A DoorDash order came in while I was posting these, but I’m back now and home for the night; Shiny new brake rotors!

This is Pete, my mechanic who has not only performed untold oil changes, but has also installed the trailer hitch, one set of tires, part of the cruise control, the foglights, and the lift kit!

 

Lets see how long the 2TR-FE lasts; I’d wanna put a Tundra 5.7L in there!

 

Perhaps we should start a gambling pool on the number..haha
