Whats this Headlight Service harness upgrade everyone keeps talking about? I searched Google but just a thread regarding someones melted OEM harness came up. Is this part of the "Ultimate Headlight Upgrade"?

Having done this on mine with the harness, OEM Pro headlights, and upgraded bulbs, I can say it's the best mod I've done on my truck. It has actual, legitimate results. I won't mess with aftermarket headlights again because they just aren't as effective as OEM and to see at night is the entire point of having headlights.

Nice! I have to say even for aftermarket headlights these Spyders function really well. They use OEM Halogen bulbs and have a super sharp cutoff and provide decent light output... am very impressed for the price. However, not sure it's wise to put in a higher temp bulb in these housings as they aren't proven. I still have my OEM headlights sitting in boxes in my garage. Maybe once these give up the goose i'll go back to my OEMs and do this upgrade.

Little bit of this and that
If those are like the '05-'11 Spyder lights then they use a H1 bulb as opposed to the H4 used in the factory housings. What I'm working on is using the Headlight Services harness in conjunction with Osram Super Bright Rallye H1 bulbs to maximize performance from these lights.

I just bought a sheet of 1/8” thick abs plastic off Amazon and cut it to fit the bed pocket. It was like $10

As for the wiring I sealed the bed pocket with silicone and then drilled 2 holes in the bottom and installed grommets from the electrical aisle at the car parts store. I just ran 2 10ga power wires up the frame rail to my accessory fuse panel. Grounded it to a factory ground nearby on the frame.

Wish I was closer to the beach, I probably won’t see as much crackheads running around here

Eh, I'm in PB... we got our fair share of crackheads ha ha

Thankfully i'm on the outskirts of Garnet/Grand drag so I don't have to deal with them regularly.

You won’t be disappointed. I find it a joy driving at night with it now. Especially with the diode dynamic pro fogs. It’s amazing how much the road illuminates.
