I paid extra for the powdercoat then had to drill four new holes in the panel because only two were in the right place.

My Prismatic color is listed as flat but it still had a shine to it. So consider the option of sanding/degreasing it and hitting it with Rustoleum Camouflage Flat Black. If you follow the directions lays down really evenly with no blotchy rattle can pattern in the finish, and you can touch it up later if needed.

Of the ones you have listed, only Caveman will not be shiny. Also look at Black Jack. It will be slightly shinier than Caveman but it also looks good. I think you might find that Black Jack will look like the black plastic trim like the window switches, etc. The project galleries on their website have a lot more examples than what is shared on each product listing.

I appreciate the feedback. Any pics of the two correct holes and what did you use to mount the other 4?

On my truck, which might be different than yours, I could choose whether I wanted the top holes or the bottom holes to line up, and then drill new holes for the other row. I chose the top, but still had to lengthen two holes on the top, along with drilling new holes for every bolt on the bottom. But that's just me, and you might not have to drill out any holes at all, depending on how your panel was made, and what the measurements of your truck are.

I would think their the same since mine is also an AC. Here’s a pic of mine loosely fitted to the rear panel. Can you tell me based on this which holes on the panel lined up with the factory holes? I don’t want to put holes in the sound deadening material if I don’t have to. Much appreciated!2679CE6C-8C4B-4DAF-BFE2-A8A44624D90F.jpg

    My install.

Drill out the spot welds and pry off the baby seat eyes (or cut holes in your panel). Drill a little bigger diameter than what I did here. If you tap them off with a hammer and chisel like I did, plan on sharpening your chisels afterward.

    IMG_7220.jpg
Most of the noise comes from the cabin vent (that black box in the middle), but sound deadener still helps some.

    IMG_7223.jpg
You don't have to remove these tabs, but they tend to get in the way when you are testing fit.

    IMG_7218.jpg

    IMG_7217.jpg
I decided to paint my already-powdercoated panel with Rustoleum Camouflage Black to make it less reflective. My paint booth is a popup tent. Wear a respirator and follow the can's instructions. This particular paint lays down really evenly.

    IMG_7221.jpg
Most of my mounting holes did not line up so I had to drill new holes in the panel. Test-fit before painting.

    IMG_7332.jpg
I installed gray vinyl leather upholstery that matches my gray leather seats. I simply used VHB tape and worked fast and rough since it will be behind the panel anyway. I did get it smoother than this in the end.

    IMG_7339.jpg
The air vent in my 2014 access cab is off center, so I framed it in a black piece of carpet that is centered.

    IMG_7348.jpg
I rolled another piece of carpet up and jammed it in above the vent (breathing through the roll of carpet first to make sure some air can still pass through). This vent is the source of the majority of road noise, and the carpet baffles it. There are probably more effective baffles; this is just what I did.

    IMG_7355.jpg
End result before the floor deck is installed.

    IMG_7374.jpg
This Rubbermaid trash can fits between both seats when they are reclined. I put a screw in the back so the fliptop only opens one way, and so the wind from the open back window (or steep or bouncy terrain) can't easily open it. I will likely replace this trrash can with a soft bin in the future, but for now, I like this.

Lastly, I have some black stair edging (think rubber angle iron) which will wrap those gray corners on each side and make the whole thing more finished-looking. To-be-installed after I install the floor deck.

I just posted a comment with my build pictures so you can see. But I believe specs may have changed even with the access cab between your year and mine. I highly recommend test fitting the panel without sound deadener first, to see which holes you want to use or will have to re-drill.

90% of the rear noise comes from that back cabin vent. Jam some napkins in the holes and drive down the road to see what I am talking about. You are not going to achieve much sound suppression by wrapping the top bar.

People have posted on here how 3rd Gen are such quiet trucks --not in my experience, so much road/wind noise!

When this panel arrives I'm taking the opportunity to Noico that entire back wall.

Much appreciated! Those pics are helpful and it looks good. What size bolts did you use, 10mm?

The bolts are the OEM bolts that were already in the holes.
