Bummer, I guess their quality has really gone down hill. I had one of their ATVs a while back and it was pretty solid but that's 20 years ago at this point...

Go vintage? The pre-70's MG's or the Austin Healeys are fun little buggies, and they won't really depreciate. :notsure:

They don't depreciate because they never increase in mileage. They never increase in mileage because they never run when you want/need them to! I'm sure they'd be fun, but I don't want a project vehicle, just a fun commuter. I'm not driving an antique to a construction site every day!

For 20-30k I’m getting an older Porsche Cayman s/boxster s as a fun car. Slowly coming closer to reality as the kids finish up daycare to the tune of 33k/yr. Already have the green light for a clean lime green 03-06 TJ if I can find one. I would Just have to convince the wife that it’d be for the both of us.

I would 'wheel' that fugly thing right off a cliff. What an abomination!
I don't mind the Z4m, little out of my price range though.
I'd rock the shit out of one of those, only if it was white with the pink and purple graphics down the sides.

She's right. My boss has owned both, and still owns the Spyder. They both suck hard. The Slingshot is just horrible- it's loud as hell because the engine and exhaust are basically on your rear seatback and hot as a bastard in there. And getting in and out? You better be an acrobat. I would need one of those damn hoists you see at public swimming pools for people in wheelchairs... No thank you. It was sorta fast and kinda cool looking, but yes, cheap and plasticy.

The Spyder is great for people that don't want any excitement in a vehicle and look like they are riding a motorcycle. It has so much nanny software that anytime you ask it to do something fun, like hard acceleration or going into a corner at any speed, the thing says "nope! don't think so" and you are instantly humiliated by auto-limiting/braking. Great motor, basically the same that's in my sled, Rotax 900 triple with a shitload of power- just not able to tap into it when you want. It took literally 30 seconds on it before I said "this thing fucking SUCKS".

My Polaris atv I traded the ranger for has been great. I tow my compost spreader around twice the year as it was “for the business” and then I rip all over the mountain side the rest of the season. I’d buy another and their new bigger one is really appealing.

Fwiw I think with more competition they’ve upgraded them quite a bit the last 4-6 years since I bought mine.

holy shit. Holy shit. Holy shit one more time.

Gonna be changing my business to a daycare ASAP!

Yup, daycare is no joke! I can't wait. 5 years or so and it'll be like winning the lottery

Believe me I felt the pain of that. When both if my kids were in Daycare/before and after school programs, I spent $22k a year.

Grandmas house from my kitchen counter. Other grandma 15 minutes away.

we moved back to this area to be closer to family as we raise kids. I didn’t know how much of a money saver it would be

Looking for camping places in the area of New Haven Connecticut, considering going to a concert down there and would want to use the RTT.
Normally, I wouldn’t consider going, but we NEED some live music, and it’s the same band that we last saw live before shut down.

Just had a guy pull in my front area, burn out. Stop, and then start doing drugs with his girlfriend.

when asked to not do burn outs, I was told “I have no reverse and didn’t want to get stuck”

after he didn’t leave and I went back out to take a photo and tell him to leave again, he then threatened to “beat my ass if I want to be a smart ass”

Today in “don’t do drugs kids”

Right? Then when he’s leaving he starts trying to burn out again but the tires have no tread so they are more “spinning” than burning out. :bananadead:

I just walked back to the house. We are on a rural highway connecting to Albany and it’s a pretty regular drug pick up area for our rural friends here. I actually had someone I know try the same thing not knowing I was home! They were quite surprised when I came out to see why they were stopping by
