    Congrats!
    It’s a 3 step process.
    1. Remove hose off of the bypass
    2. Grab brass restrictor with needle nose pliers and pull it out gently with a twisting motion
    3. Put hose back on.

Any of you monitoring your Coolant Temp since SC install? I use a ScanGage II to keep an eye on Coolant Temp along Transmission pan and converter temp. Transmission temps have been fine but I have not towed yet - waiting on camper to arrive. Coolant Temps seem to move around a lot. I think the stock thermostat opens between 185 and 196. My operating temps are within this range but I noticed when coasting at low speed the temps range will jump to 202 and 204. ??? could it be the LTR blocking the OEM radiator and causing temps to run hotter? Over-flow is within spec for cold and hot and I've checked the radiator once it cools down and it is topped up. ??? Just curious what others are experiencing.

Non SC here and fwiw, those temps are super routine for me. Even with the upgraded cooling fan.

Please let us know what you think after you drive it for a week or two. I think we'd all really like to hear some additional feedback from others who go SC. Having moved to CA recently, the SC being CARB approved/exempt is tempting.

I received mine Thursday and I've already got the tune file so two days of good weather and I'm off to the races!

Just some more anecdotal evidence from a PM conversation between another member and I...

At low power settings it’s hardly noticeable since the bypass valve is doing its job. Noise from the blower is nonexistent until you lean into the throttle and the revs are above 3000 rpm. The gear whine is much quieter than the supercharger I had in my 2006 Tacoma, but just like that kit it’s silent if you’re not in the throttle and the bypass is open.

More power is available even at low rpm. 6th gear on the highway (my 4.88s help here too so YMMV) is actually useful now and the truck will accelerate nicely without dropping down a gear. If it does shift, 5th has plenty of oompf to tackle hills and passing (65-80mph) without drama. If you press on the pedal and force a downshift to 4th gear, the subtle whine from the blower is right there and the truck is smartly accelerating regardless of incline.

I reset my AT and LV when I flashed the ECU so I think it’s still learning. Only complaint so far is that a couple full throttle runs resulted in some hesitant/hard shifting at redline. This might be the Magnuson tune. I suspect it’s a redline throttle reduction that cuts power and confuses the transmission shifting a bit. I don’t race this truck so weird shifting at wide open throttle is not really a concern of mine. A slow roll into the throttle brings predictable and smooth shifting and plenty of power that’s significant when compared to when it was stock.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

I'll try to summarize this without writing a novel.
    - bought my supercharger from a certified dealer
    - had it shipped to another certified dealer. scheduled my time to drop the truck off to have it installed
    - was told 2 to 2.5 days. I was an hour away from my trailer so I got a hotel room for 3 days.
    - Magnuson apparently outsources the tuning to OVTune, who recently outsourced to another person somewhere on the other side of the planet
    - My dealer sent off my info for the tune the morning I dropped it off
    - They finished the install by the next day
    - Magnuson and OVTuen were not getting back with us and it took them 6 days to get the Tune files over.
    - 2 weeks after the install I hear a knocking sound coming from the supercharger
    - I have to get it towed back to the dealer
    - they and Magnuson find that it is defective (from the factory)
    - Magnuson tells me that because I purchased from 1 certified dealer and had it installed at another certified dealer I had to coordinate the warranty replacement myself
    - I am told they cannot ship me out a new one even though it was defective from the factory
    - I just found out today that it is going to take at least another week before they can ship out a new one (they got it on Thursday, today is Monday)
    - I am stranded with no vehicle, was suposed to have left town on Sunday to go to another state.
    - Magnesuon just says "well unfortunately we can do anything" on the phone.
    - you sold me a bad $6,500 super charger and you want to play games!!
    - Both dealers have been super supportive and great, Magnusonon the other hand has left me stranded now for another time and this one is over a holiday weekend.

just had to get my frustrations out.
For reference why I bought from one dealer and had another installed is that I live full time in my travel trailer and I move from state to state every 1-2 months. I had reservations to be in Nevada but had an opportunity to buy the last supercharger in stock in AZ and have it shipped so when I got to Nevada it was ready to install. Bad decision on my end I guess.

I will say the 2 weeks I drove it before it broke were great. I can't wait to get it back.

Did you have to get a hotel or did they let you stay in your house in the shop?

Sorry to hear about your experience - it sure sounds like shit in that vid - almost like valves. Bummer. I know many have a certified dealer do the installation for obvious reasons. I simply don't trust them - unless I am watching over their shoulder - which they won't allow - hence they won't work on my vehicle. Hope they get it corrected for you soon.

I had to get a hotel for 3 nights when they installed it but then I said I am not staying another 4 nights so they had someone from their shop drive me back to my trailer. For the fix, they brought a flatbed out here to pick it up. I am in Pahrump, NV and the truck is in Vegas just over an hour away.

    thanks man,
I believe it was a bad bearing.
the guys that did the install did a great job, they said it was defective from the factory. that's why I am so pissed at Magnuson for not dropping everything and getting a new one ASAP since it was their fault.

If the installer thought it was bad from the get-go he should have stopped then and taken care of it (called you and Magnuson) before installation. That is wrong - hope the installer does not try to buck you for the parts and labor. Again I am sorry to hear about your experience.

In their defense they did not know if was defective during the install. That rattle/knock started 2 weeks after It was complete.
I am being told I won't have to pay for any parts/labor
