    Rant time:mad:

School system in this country is a fucking joke. Signed up for classes last semester. Filled out financial aid paperwork but had to pay for the quarter outta pocket. Cool, whatever, I understand cause I missed the deadline for "early registration" supposed to get that money back in reimbursement.

But the school says I make too much money and am not eligible for financial aid (even though FAFSA said I was good for a few grand)

Signed up for classes this semester and filled out Stafford loan paperwork. Told the school to get ahold of me if I need anything else to recieve loan money. No response from their email and calling the dept gets me a robot recording telling me to send any email. No word from them so I assume I'm good to go.

Nope. Get an email from school saying I've been dropped from no payment. Call student registrars office and they tell me to re-register for classes and try financial aid office again. Can't re-register cause now I'm out of the "early registration" period and have to pay 100% out of pocket. Got direct phone number for fin-aid assistant director and now she's ghosting me.

I refuse to pay out of pocket with the false promise of being reimbursed when they've already proven they won't do it. Fuck this. Fuck them. Fuck the business racket that is "higher education".

I'm @Abeyancer and this has been my TEDtalk

Was trying to figure out how I’d hold the core support and fender apron in place before I welded them. To do one final panel fitment check. The answer was a lot of zip ties.

Everything bolts in but 2-3 fender bolts. Which I’ll just use zip ties for.

Scholarship and financial aid office at my university were honestly useless. If they messed up they would ignore you and hope you'd give up. It was a joke.

It is a finance dept problem. But they're apart of the school and if they're allowed to operate like this then the entire school is at fault. Colleges are a for profit business, therefore their loyalty should be to customer retention. You retain customers by keeping them satisfied. There is no satisfaction here, only disdain.

Why should I have to foot the bill just to keep my spot when I took all the appropriate steps right out the gate, and well withing their original deadline? Fuck that

Yup, seems to be that way. The shittiest thing is that I make too much money to be eligible for school loans but not enough money to be above "low class" standards for my area. So I'm fucked either way here.

It is all about where you shop you're right. I'm screwed in that area because there is no other college that currently offers this degree in a Bachelors.

Looks like I'll try going back to college in a couple years when more schools offer it
