Was looking around and trying to find someone with a similar set up and how they fixed rubbing. I have 5100s all around (fronts are on the max 2.75" clip,) running 285/70R17 MAXXs, 1.5" wheel spacers and Dirt King UCA and I have pretty bad (noise wise,) rubbing in the back part of the fenders. I really love how it rides but the rubbing is getting too much for me to take. Someone said that it could be the body mounts that are shot (I have almost 160k mi on them,) and my body is too low but I haven't had the chance to look. I'd be fine with trimming my fenders but would rather first try other things. If the body mounts would work or if anyone has any ideas/solutions that would be awesome.

Have you done a cmc or trimmed plastic in your wheel wells? Your wheel spacers are going to contribute as well to the problem, what wheels do you run?

Body mount won’t cause that. Just cut and smash where it’s hitting and call it a day.

I haven’t done a cmc yet or trimmed the wells. Almost did it a few times but ran out of time to be able to get it done but thinking about it that should help a lot and probably just cut a little fender from the corners. And I’m running The TRD pro rims with MAXXs wrapped around

Honestly I’m not sure. Still need to get a proper alignment done. Did a quick one at the shop by me, only because I don’t have a good amount of time ever lol

I have 285s stt pros on 17 x 8.5 4.5bs. I havey caster at 4 degrees done the CMC pinch weld smash and trimmed. Dont rub on anything even at full lock flexing. Lift doesn't haven't anything to do with it

Mine rubs with 285/70/17s. I have done a CMC and trimmed/smashed the pinch welds. It used to only rub in extreme flex situations, but now it rubs quite a bit. I can't seem to get anyone to align it with the 3.5-4 deg of caster that I ask for. Back when I had it aligned close to 4, it didn't rub very often. I'm honestly so tired of trying to get my truck aligned properly.

So an alignment, cmc and a little persuasion and it should be all good?

If there’s no material there to rub, tire won’t hit it. Cut first and ask questions later.

The CMC and alignment will have to wait but I cut a little and hammered in the pinch welds a little and now only rub on the mount. I'll have to cut just a little more but a lot better so far.

Grab a can of flex seal and coat them in it now.

A good alignment with as much positive caster as you can get is the key, at least +3°. If you can swing it, some adjustable UCAs to assist with positive caster will help.

Find a shop that will do the alignment your way, and not one that says they have to do it to OEM spec.
