Got this on the back of the wife's car.

My truck has a rear facing Chico and front facing Graco.

Seat back protectors are a must my 3 year old thinks the back of the seat is for painting with his shoes.

Has anyone put a rear facing car seat in an access cab on a 3rd gen?

it would not have to happen often, but in the event that I need to take my daughter somewhere when all of the other vehicles are being used I would want to make sure I could. Even with the passenger front seat pushed forward all the way.

Added a rear facing seat for my newborn. The lack of anchors in the seats is frustrating since I feel they would be more secure.20210318_194401.jpg

They do...unless he's referring to rear facing anchors...which they don't. I'm not sure if any cars do.

They do have anchors, but they are up top behind the seat. My Subaru has them on the bottom cushion near the seat belt buckles.

Unless this is something they added after 2016? Or I'm blind and having trouble finding them bc of my clazzios?

They're on the back wall, not at the bottom or back of the seat. Fish the strap under the headrest, lean the seat forward, attach strap and pull as you push the seat back in place.

There was another thread talking about child seats.

Short version is this, for front facing, you can put 3 Radians in the back.

For rear facing, buy from brands like Nuna and Combi. They are made for Euro market where most people drive 1 liter clatterbox because gas is 50 million dollars a gallon.

Do NOT let a few hundred dollars of enormous plasticky car seats dictate your vehicle of choice, there are other safe, smaller car seats out there.

We had Nuna Pipa infant seat that fit in all manner of compact sedans we had, STI, E46 M3, Evo, 135. When they got older we got the Combi Coccoro.

Never mind the bad reviews on Combi Coccoro, it's from people who couldn't be bothered to follow the instruction and loop the top tether clip through a front seat rail then clip into the seat top tether, this holds the Coccoro in place very tightly. But if you don't know what a front seat rail is, you would be complaining about it not staying in place on Amazon...

Those are the top anchors. The LATCH anchors are in between the seatback and seatbottom.

Correct. I assumed he was looking for the rear anchor strap. The others are more obvious, I guess.

Man I’ve barely had my seat for a few months took it off to vacuum and i have these horrendous 3” deep indentations. Anybody else? Maybe I anchored it too tight I did stand in my truck and boot down and pulled on the tightening strap. But geez did I just ruin my taco lol

Maybe someone can help me out on this thread. I have a 2021 tacoma, and a diono 3qxt forward facing. I cant for the life of me get it tight enough. It keeps sliding everywhere. I have the back latch on and the seatbelts fed through and locked. But when I shake on it it moves 4 to 5 inches. (Its on the passenger rear side. )
